My recent experience with i-bidder.com has been very disappointing and raises serious concerns about how the platform supports its auctioneers.I placed a successful bid on a vehicle through i-bidder.com, listed by Richard Maze & Co Auctions. The vehicle was advertised with “Warranted Mileage: 66,678”. After the sale, I obtained the manufacturer’s service history, which proved the vehicle had already exceeded 82,000 miles back in 2018, making the warranted mileage entirely false. The car was also a Category S write-off, yet this was only disclosed in vague wording – “Sadly on the register” – instead of being clearly stated in the main description. When I raised these issues with Richard Maze & Co, they refused to acknowledge the misrepresentation and instead issued daily revised invoices, adding late fees and storage charges, despite the sale being formally in dispute.I then raised my concerns with i-bidder.com, but rather than protecting the integrity of their platform, I received an email notifying me that I had been blocked by Richard Maze & Co. i-bidder explained that this is a facility they provide to auctioneers and that my block would be visible to other auctioneers across the network. In effect, instead of investigating a clear case of misrepresentation, the platform enabled the auctioneer to penalise me further.By allowing auctioneers to misrepresent vehicles and then blocking buyers who challenge them, i-bidder.com risks supporting questionable practices and discouraging transparency. This approach is deeply concerning, and in my view, undermines trust in the platform entirely.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend i-bidder.com and would urge extreme caution when using their services.
I purchased a set of Bose headphones supposedly worth £450 only to just have found out that they are fakes !Complete scam, con and rip off. I have contacted the vendor Castlers Auctions and will update you all.The company, Castlers auctions have responded very quickly and resolved my issue. Super response to a real problem. Couldnt have handled any better. Mistake made but resolved promptly and respectfully. Would recommend as the good guys.
Ibidder is simply a platform, it’s the sellers that are running scams, but Ibidder do nothing to help the buyer, none communication. I won 2 battery power backs on 247 auction . WARNING DONOT BID ON ANY ITEM FROM 247, COMPLETE SCAM. Operated by a idiot from home, I won two battery chargers, he sent me one and when I eventually got hold of the idiot he said and I quote “ you only paid £30 for the two, so having one is still good value” the item also did not work and he said they are customer returns, I would love to meet this company in person. I can not believe Ibidder let this happen, but of course they do as they support the scam to make money -
NEVER buy from them. Bought a car off Cambridge auction. Please read description AND AUCTIONEER NOTES. Car in description was fine. Didn’t read the rest. Hidden at the bottom it said water leak and smoking. You would think this would be in the description but NO. Won for £3000. Overall paid £4655!!!! I thought being a solicitor was a hated job. These lot know how to cream off top.
Platform for Auction CompaniesThey are simply the platform and do not help in anyway when things go wrong. They should be taken down - it's all to easy for people to feel that they can use the platform but there is no vetting process to ensure the integrity ( the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles) for those bidding
I didn’t even want to give this company 1 star… in error bought my daughter a car for 5k, the details said it was fully working etc arrived and didn’t start, needed new gear box and pretty much everything, been to 3 garages at huge cost and all said it was scrap!
