Review Time
I flew on 09/03 on flight E9-858 with a group of friends. A flight to forget!!! The flight was hours delay, which made some of my friends to miss connecting flights in Madrid without any support from Iberojet (on air or at the airport). (I realized later after reading the reviews that delays on these flights are frequent). A pasta was served that left the whole group who ate it with gastrointestinal problems (huge irresponsibility from the company) (I also realized later that it has happened to other people who traveled on Iberojet). A very turbulent flight that left some passengers vomiting, without any support from the flight attendants. A flight and an airline to forget!!! If you travel with this company, pay special attention to what is served during the flight, because besides being terrible, it may be spoiled.
Because of my recent experience, I will never fly with Iberojet again. While waiting in line to receive our boarding pass, my daughter of 6 years old began to complain of stomach pain, and shortly after, she began to vomit. As I attempted to comfort her, I was instructed by an employee to weigh our luggage. Despite the obvious distress my daughter and I were experiencing, the employee showed no empathy or understanding of our situation. She insisted that our luggage was overweight by 1.5 kilograms per person, ignoring my daughter's illness and my attempts to address it. Even as I explained our predicament, the employee remained unyielding, offering no assistance or compassion.Feeling overwhelmed and unsure if we would even be able to board our flight with a sick child, I reluctantly agreed to pay the excessive fee of 150 euros!!! to check our slightly overweight suitcase. This decision was made out of necessity, as opening our bags in the airport while dealing with my daughter's illness was simply unfeasible. I explained this to the employee and she didn’t care. When I later wrote to Iberojet to explain what had happened, hoping their online support would show any level of compassion and understanding that was lacking from their ground staff at Madrid Barajas airport - I discovered that they are all the same. Zero empathy. They wrote me a cold standard email back repeating their policy for baggage.
It must be the worst airline in the world. Even Ryanair is much better. Their website was made by kids at school project 20 years ago. They are yet to create digital boarding passes for phones in the 21st century. It looks like they are cheaper but in the end you will end up paying more than with normal airlines.The worst part is that they discriminate against people with special requirements. For example, if you are bringing a dog, sports equipment, wheelchair or anything else, you will need to FIRST book your flight and ONLY after you are allowed to check if they have space. In our case, we booked a flight to be only told later that there is no space for our dog. We were forced to cut our holiday short and pay 353 euro to change our flight dates. Of course, Iberojet didn't see any fault in their action and said that they reserve a right to provide space or not. If we knew that there is no space for our dog, we would have never booked with them.
Excellent service. Iberojet has everything for having a great trip. From the check-in at the airport, flight amenities, food and service, everything has been absolutely perfect.I did check this page before buying the tickets and I was a bit hesitant, but I can assure you that Iberojet is much better than even prime airlines.Everything was Perfect.They also gave some gifts to my daughter and finally an airline who serve the meal first to the kids.The multimedia screens, they are much bigger than any other airlines.
I NEVER had a flight company simply cancel my flight without offering me ANY compensation or altenative flight. This was the first airline EVER (and I've tried even really bad ones) that I almost sued, because they could have cost me a lot of money (due to connecting flights). I will never again book with Iberojet. They simply speculate, oversell till they make better deals, then cancel your tickets for fun without an explanation. My flight wasn't cancelled but my ticket was. I've had many connecting flights from the destination so they could've cost me much money. I will never ever book with them again, it's simply to dangerous they could ruin your whole trip basically
This would be a 0 star review. Iberojet put my partner, whom I was travelling with, on another flight departing a whole week later without reason. The only option we had was to cancel his flight and rebook it with another airline for an additional £414. Iberojet should be avoided at all costs - be warned!
Worst experience I’ve had with any airline. Received an email at 7am to say my flight was cancelled from Cuba to madrid and all further flights had been cancelled from that airport to madrid with the airline. Then received an email at 1.50pm to say it would be on time. Spent eight hours waiting at the airport to then be told it had been cancelled and it would be going at 2pm the next day but the airport was still unsure. We’d already left our hotel by then and if we had been informed the several times we called to check the flight then we could have stayed and made other arrangements. Instead we were herded onto buses, not told where we were going to end up at a hotel where we weren’t allowed single rooms because the cheap company had put all the people flying solo together despite not knowing eachother or even speaking the same language. I’m still not sure if the flight will actually leave tomorrow and now I’ve missed my connecting flight for tomorrow. An absolute shambles of a company stay well away.
Wortst flight experience of my life, terrible service. All on board announcements were done in Spanish, Rude and unprofessional flight attendants. No matter how many times you tell them that you dont understand, the flight attendant only address you in Spanish, it was very hard for those of us who don't understand Spanish. ib case you got problems with your flight don't waste your time to call there customer care line or email them, it's pretty much a dead end. if you're lucky they might respond back 3 or 4 days later. I don't recommend it at all.
