The whole process was just really smooth. From the initial phonecall to the procedure. Got all the information I felt that I needed beforehand, great team in the WhatsApp group. Didn’t have to worry about a thing in Istanbul, everything was prepared. Just smooth
Had my first transplant with ideal of med around 2 years ago now, completely changed the look of my hair and hairline! Recently went back to do the crown, which was a fantastic experience! Their service, professionalism and especially aftercare is amazing, once the transplant is done they consistently followed up to ensure everything was going as planned! most importantly i've been very happy with the results! Early days on the crown but I'm sure it will turn out just as good!
I went to Ideal of Med for a one time hair transplant in August. Now, nearly 4 months later the new hair has grown in with the little old hair I had and it's starting to look great. I had 4850 grafts and it really was almost pain free. There's a little discomfort but very tolerable when the anesthesia is applied but it's minor. The rest of the procedure is painless and I actually fell asleep when the donor hair was implanted.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our hotel was great and so was our driver that picked us up when needed. Everyone genuinely wanted it to a wonderful and successful experience. Add in that Istanbul is nice city to visit and it makes for a 5 star trip. I'm from America. Even with airfare it was 1/4 the cost of what I would have paid in the US.
Since my initial contact to date, I have had a really good positive experience. I was 1st contacted by Anas, who has been soooooo great & been by my side throughout! He immediately offered video calls, which was great & not done by most hair transplant businesses!. I was verrrrrry anxious & worried when I contacted IdealofMeD, as I had originally booked & paid deposit with another company, which I’m glad I didn’t go ahead with, as IdealofMeD were more professional, trustworthy & realistically managed my expectations. They showed care & concern, especially as I am a black woman & they didn’t have any pictures of previous black females on their website or Instagram, (They did have pictures which they showed me though). I’ve recommended they update both, especially their Instagram, as many people use this platform when researching. All arrangements such as airport transfers, hotel, surgery & aftercare were professional & seamless. I was always transported in a luxury van, my 4* Hotel was lovely, the surgery was done in a very clean & modern private hospital. The surgery team were knowledgeable, experienced, professional & nice & Anas was always there for translating. They have a Hair Back App which is helpful to track my care plan & upload pictures for review & Fatih is always available to answer any questions (he’s so nice & helpful). I removed my scabs as instructed on day 10 (they messaged me the day before as a reminder & provided instructions). So far all is looking well. My recipient area looks good - OMG I have hair where I haven’t in over 20 years!!! My donor area appears healthy & not overharvested, which was a major concern for me (& deterred me from the original company I booked with). Sadly, my donor area didn’t provide as many grafts as I/we hoped, because of the many years of wearing tight ponytails & wigs pulling on my lower hair resulting in significant bald areas). I’m pleased IdealofMeD didn’t take the required 4000 grafts just to please me aesthetically for my front/hairline, as this would’ve over-harvested my limited donor area. Instead 2864 grafts were used & I’ll need a 2nd surgery to achieve the lowered hairline that I want (& to avoid overharvesting donor). I have 1years supply of their vitamins & I’m looking forward to when I can start taking those, to see how/if it benefits my hair growth, as well as PRP treatments which I’ll be starting with their associate here in London UK. It’s very early days, so I’ll obviously be monitoring my progress - as I do find myself looking at my hair everyday, which is not great as I’ve got a long way to go… However at least my journey has started well & positively. Big thanks to all of IdealofMeD team!!!(They deserve 5 stars & I would’ve given 5 Stars if their website & Instagram included more info/pictures for black/afro customers, especially women. Hopefully they’ll seriously consider this in going forwards).
