Worst experience ever. Tried Ikman Business, and it was a very poor service. Each and every time, we had to call them to fix issues. After making the payment, there was no support at all. Every day, they would delist half of the items, and we had to call them repeatedly to ask for relisting. At one point, we lost our patience.They would provide coupons, but they would stop working after 1 or 2 days. Publishing ads through coupons would often get disabled. Overall, it was a very, very poor service.
once you advertise on the website, Ikman keeps calling you three four times a day to upsell their other services. Despite telling the agents multiple times not to contact me, and I will boost the ads on their platform if I need it, they keep calling. Had to block their number on my phone to stop their annoying upselling calls.
I would give zero starts if it were allowed. Absolutely disgusting service. They are only interested in the payment and after that the service offered is nothing short of absolutely exasperating. They are all just bloody incompetent imbeciles. Because of them, we missed an entire weekend of advertising and hours spent uselessly on phone calls. After speaking hopelessly to numerous others, one lady called Hajera (hope I got the name right) got my advertisement published in ten minutes that the other imbeciles couldn't for an entire day! Thank God you have at least one staff member with sense and good values!
I recently had a truly horrendous experience with ikman.lk, the so-called largest online marketplace in Sri Lanka.I posted an ad to sell my laptop along with a few accessories. Shortly after posting, I received a notification to boost my ad, and I paid Rs. 5,500 for two ad types: "Spotlight" and a bundle ad with additional boost features that promised better conversions and leads because I wanted to sell my items fast.However, within minutes, I got a notification that my ad was disapproved and needed editing to be published. They had edited my ad, removed all the photos except for one of the laptop, and changed the ad description to what they deemed appropriate. This is not how I wanted my ad to appear.I contacted customer service and was informed that I could only sell the laptop and that other items must be listed separately. There was no mention of this restriction on their website. It would have been helpful to have clear guidelines on what can be posted when selling a computer item.My listing included the laptop and a few accessories I no longer needed, which I was giving away with the laptop. Frustrated, I requested an immediate refund, as I wanted to sell the accessories along with the laptop.Customer service directed me to email their support team, which I did right away. They responded by asking for a bunch of information to verify the transaction, including my debit card number and the amount paid. I complied and sent them the necessary details, understanding that these steps are standard for processing a refund.In their email, they assured me the refund would be processed within seven days. After 7 days, I contacted them to follow up as I had not received my refund. I was told they had sent the emails to the right department and that the refund was being processed. This runaround continued for over 20 days with over 15 phone calls to their customer service agents.Every time I called, the support agents assured me the refund was forthcoming. However, some agents didn’t even bother to call me back after promising to do so within 30 minutes. I had to follow up repeatedly. Despite filing multiple complaints through their customer service, I never heard back with a resolution. It's been 3 weeks, and I haven't received a single penny of my Rs. 5,500 refund.It's not the Rs. 5,500 that I'm worried about but the time I lost following up with these people. At least you could have told me that you didn’t want to refund me the money just because you don't want to refund your customers. I could have made up my mind without wasting my time and effort on this refund process.As a business owner myself, I understand there are certain processes in place for refunds. However, taking over 20 days to refund a relatively small amount of Rs. 5,500 is indicative of pure incompetence. Most companies would process such a refund immediately or within a few days.It’s not a large sum that requires extensive verification. The payment was made with my debit card, which I use regularly for purchases, yet ikman.lk has taken an unreasonably long time.Every interaction with their customer service was met with scripted assurances, but no real action. Their failure to follow up or resolve the issue is unacceptable. I have now been calling them for weeks with no success.I strongly advise against paying for ads on ikman.lk. It’s a shame that a company of this size provides such poor customer service. You’re better off posting free ads or using other platforms like Facebook Marketplace, which provides more leads without costing a penny. Ikman.lk is just preying on customers willing to pay for ads and then ignoring them, even though these paying customers keep their platform alive.It's no wonder they don’t have a Google My Business account, as they would be flooded with negative reviews about their shady practices.I will update this review if they ever refund my money, but for now, my experience has been nothing short of abysmal. Avoid ikman.lk at all costs.UPDATE: They have finally refunded the amount, which was reflected in my bank account after 28 days.It looks like, in order to get a refund, the customer must take some sort of action against them, such as leaving a couple of negative reviews about their business practices.Either way, I'm glad they did refund after all this wasted time and effort.I would have given 3 stars after the refund was completed, but it took unreasonably long and will only give 2 stars because you wasted too much of my time and effort.A quick recommendation: I think it's best if you can update your refund policy stating it will take up to 30 days, as it will at least give some peace of mind to your customers since you failed to deliver in 7 days as per your current policy.
