Appointments not kept, poor standard of installation, no manuals or instructions left. You left my house with fire hazard by not fitting fire hoods over 5 downlighters, but told me you had. It was only rectified because an engineer came to put insulation on the boiler pipes and I asked him to check. Luckily for me, he had some in his van.
I had a boiler installed by this company last year under the Government Grant Scheme. A year later when I had the first annual service carried out I I am very disappointed with the service I have received. I would advise you to avoid this company at all costs!
I am in a long going process with this company, which has now been nearly 2 years, 2021 and still ongoing. I had windows fitted by Neoglaze and Improveasy is the finance that is dealing with the the payments. The windows were not fitted properly which has now created damage to my house, Improveasy are not taking responsibility and have been passing me over to different organisations. There is no custmer satisfaction or well being with this organisation. I would stand well clear of them. The Ombudsman has been involved, now the next step is court.
*APPALLING SERVICE. DO NOT USE.*They have changed from Elite to The Improveeasy Group.Their staff turn over seems very frequent too, so they must be an utter delight to work for! Currently appointed a solicitor, just need to collate all info and await telephone calls logs from the company. If not (which they won't), I'll use the ones I have recorded myself. Boiler fitted May 2021 and what a disgrace that was. That's putting it nicely.I have a daughter with a disability so I expect things to be in safe, working order and to have minimal damage around the house. All receipts have been put together of the damage I've paid to correct what I can afford through my own pocket, and the tradesmen who has sorted these (who do not work for Elite) have said they will write me a letter stating how poor and dangerous the boiler was prior to them looking at it. This was when I had my boiler serviced the other month. Over 70 phone calls to Elite, and at least 30 emails. Only 2 acted on (... only just!). I could name all the staffs names, but I won't do for legal reasons. The issues below were down to the poor boiler installation. I called and they sent someone round regarding some of the issues - but only one issues out of then all(water leak) was fixed. It was only fixed because I had to pay someone else to disgnose the leak. *** Andy (I presume their handy man) has been and has fixed the leaking pipe in my bedroom where my old boiler tank was (after water damage/ plaster peeling/ mould gathering). My sink is damaged during boiler installation. The actual inside of the sink has popped up, not the whole basin itself. So I could lift my sink out and there be a big hole with the draining board and taps still installed.Andy resealed the sink baskn with a clean sealant underneath and ontop. It's leaking as it's peels when washing and has began to go green mouldy. I can't put anything under my sink because it is warping the wood and making the tin cans for cleaning rusty. He neatened some wires that were left loose in the kitchen from the guys who fitted the boiler. (My Dad's an electrician and was shocked at them leaving the wires as they were near the sink and oven hob)I replace the towels under the sink, but it's expanded the laminate wood. New flooring in the kitchen will be needed. My bedroom carpet has 2 big burn marks and stained where they must've used a heated machine to put pipes together.I asked about the damage to the carpet; the white splodges, and several circular burn marks. Andy said he can't do anything about that and advised me to contact Elite. Laughable. The large water mark, lines of water, and cracks in the plaster board from the leak.I sorted this water damage out and cracks myself but again, the materials are coming out if my own pocket. It won't cost a fortune for the materials, but is besides the point.I've already spent £125 on the diagnostic for the leak with a separate tradesman who doesn't work for Elite. He commented that they'd have known there was. A leak when fusing the pipes together. The funnel (?) At the top of the boiler wasn't fitted correctly.Outside pipes needed more insulation. Brickwork and dust left in the garden. My storage cabinet outside was used as a ladder, despite there being a ladder that I LET THEM USE!! The storage cabinet has a dint in it. When having my service last month , the guy who came said that they'd fitted the wrong fuse, so put a new one in, he also said that the copper pipework he had fitted was too small, therefore I'm using more gas, and the pressure isn't good.He said he will write me a letter when my solitors papers come through to back up my statement, as will the other guy who diagnosed the leak before Andy from Elite came to look at it. *** Please avoid. I went with this company because they had the scheme to have boilers fitted cheaper. Taking a loan out and going with a proper company would've made more sense now. Luckily for me. I took pictures of all pipework and kitchen surrounds before the work was done, and made sure all paperwork signed for by the DECENT tradesmen that came to help me.
So I honestly don’t know where to start. I wish I had avoided this company and had nothing to do with them. I had a boiler replacement on government grant system last November. I had to contribute £900. Had a survey . All seemed very friendly. My worst nightmare was letting them do the job. First problem was the electrician. Tim. He says he’s the only one in the company and in the end I dreaded him coming in. The spur for my old boiler was behind a tile. This had to be removed. He refused so he quickly ran a new Spur of this without actually doing the job properly. This was fitted by previous owner of property. So when he left I have regularly had to wiggle the wire to get any heating. Ridiculous. He refused to repair this and took 4 weeks to actually be coaxed into doing it and I had to sign to say if he damaged the tiles it’s not he’s problem. I thought that was it. But no. I have now spent 2 months trying to sort out the low water problem with the boiler. Constant f1 failure and having to top water up. I think I’ve spoken to everyone in this company. I never get a call back. Never speak to any plumbers or electricians. I don’t actually get past reception. Yesterday the girl answering the phone had a email response from the remedial team (whoever they are). To say f1 not there problem nothing to do with them. I am seriously at the end of my tether. I used the last of my savings for this. To ensure my home was efficient. Using the government scheme. I’m depressed , tearful and do feel if I wasn’t a woman on my own this would not happen. My daughter is emergency ambulance crew. Coming home she needs a shower etc and the amount of times she’s come home late with no hot water is ridiculous, . Bearing in mind my previous boiler in the 3 years I’ve lived here did not have any leak or lack of water at all. I purely changed the boiler thinking of efficiency and cost . So now I googled this problem and it is an issue with the boiler and is actually down to this company. The boiler is not fit for purpose . The boiler is no good. I’ve begged them to take it away , refund my money and let me start again. All falls on deaf ears. And I still haven’t had a call back. Please avoid this company. The stress, anxiety is just too much. I’ve now gone to the ombudsman and Martin Lewis and citizens advice but I know this is a very long process and I still have a big problem with this boiler .
Avoid!Booked to fit a new boiler under the grant scheme. Assured system would have power clean as only 10mm pipework in the house. This never happened meaning within 10 days I have had 2 leaks which required emergency plumbers. There is still a lot of air in the system, which is due to the dirt and will affect the boiler. They fitted TRV's incorrectly and damaged pipework to the elbow which now the remedial plumbers are having to chase the wall out to fix. They do not reply to you. A referral is being made to Gas Safe and the government department for non compliance and for poor practice. Also be very aware of what you sign for. They do not let you read the iPads (i wrote on the form prior to signing not viewed docs) and hold your data again without full explanation of how and where it will be stored. AVOID.
