Cyber Security course The organisation offers you a lot of support but be mindful:-You have to be a good independent learner as all the learning is individual and you will have to watch lots of videos ( over 200h ) -Make sure you can alocate 10-20 hours per week to study-You will have to pass an internal exam before you move to the practice bit. The internal exam in my case was 42 questions in 40 min, 5 attempts, which is not an easy test, if you fail you have a 5-day cooldown before you take another attempt. If you fail the test they will not help to get employed but you can continue the course. - The practice bit is quite good but is not like you have an issue and you need to find the correct fix. Is more like tasks and is about 40 hours long- The mock tests are good but honestly, none of the questions from the mock test will be in the main exam, I suggest following your teacher's guidance as he will give extra guidance and a website where you have more tests by topic and they are great as there are similar questions to the CompTIA A+ exam- You will have to pass 2 tests to get certified, if you fail each one of them you can book them again but you have to pay £180 per test, so make sure you pass from the first try. - The job is NOT guaranteed! ITcareerswitch will help you with your CV and interview prep tools, and search for jobs on your behalf, and send you links to apply, but please make sure you do your own job search as well as is hard to get an IT job with low experience as most of the jobs in the field ask for 2 years+ experience. I have applied to over 200 jobs over 5 weeks and I had only 2 interviews. I was lucky enough to get a job as an IT technician in an amazing company with a good salary but it was my independent search and to be fair I was very lucky. Do not have high salary expectations at the beginning. Special thanks to Morgan, my recruitment consultant as she was great in keeping in touch and offering her expertise when needed. I will start the second part of the course soon. Is okay to do the training course with ITCareerSwith but be very mindful that nothing is guaranteed and you will have to give your best in the journey and contribute 75% in the job search.
It is a scam. Reviews are fake. The only time I heard from them is when I'd missed a payment. You are given 100s of videos. Impossible to do alongside a family and a job. They send me a snotty email about how it is possible as they've planned it in mind. The videos are rubbish. I watched so much in my spare time and didn't learn a thing. Aggressive company. Save your money and avoid this scam.Just to reply to the reply - that is incorrect information, I logged on so much more than that. I have had no emails except demands for missed payments or tell me i should be able to watch 400 videos whilst working full time and with a family, as it has been designed with that in mind. I am happy to post screenshots if possible. I have the receipts. When I tried to get in touch I was told the person Leigh no longer works at the company. I have received no voice mails.
