Review Time
In August I ordered some candies in Japan candy store, hoping to receive them by Halloween (order JCS66089). Some time later I have received a package with only 3 items out of 9 that I ordered. I sent them an email asking when I get the rest, but got no answer. They keep sending messages that they move their warehouse, however I don’t get how moving a warehouse should deprive of getting my purchase. So far I have contacted their support several times and even submitted a complaint through ShopApp, and no one got back to me. Scammers.
Placed an order on 8th October. Order status still says pending for dispatch. Have made attempts to contact via WhatsApp and email but no responses or acknowledgement received at all. (I'm still getting their marketing spam though!) No contact either when I asked for my order to be cancelled and a refund issued. They make several claims on their website:'Your order is usually shipped within one business day.' 'Delivery time is usually around 1-2 weeks to most countries'It also says 'The seller tries to ship the products within 2 business days. The seller tries to notify the customer if the shipping of the order is postponed for more than 7 days.'Regardless, none of these have happened and I am left clueless about my order or whether the items will actually be sent. I am now about to raise a dispute via my bank.I don't like to leave negative reviews but looking at other posts, it seems the only way to get a response from the company is to post on TrustPilot.
I absolutely love Japan Candy Store! I haven't yet had the pleasure to order individual candies, but I greatly enjoy their subscription option, which comes with all kinds of yummy goodies. It's a great way to get a fun selection of Japanese treats!
