I have PT sessions with Summer. She is amazing. She listens and takes on board my goals and knows when to push me. Would highly recommend as a PT! JD has a good range of equipment but only downside is not being able to see how many people are in the gym (like other local gyms) at times it can be difficult to navigate through a planned session because of how busy it can be.

Love the gym, plenty of equipment/machines available. My pt sessions with steve lavis are amazing and we do not have to wait around to use anything. Steve knows to push me as I can be less enthusiastic at times but he is also a unique pt because not only has he learned how to help people with weight loss he has also learned how to help people gain weight, strengthen and condition/tone up. Steve has ensured he has done his research well as i need help putting on weight and toning up but it also comes with personal challenges. Steve isn't scared to take on this challenge and understands life can get in the way so he works with you not against you

I joined 28 January apply cancellation on 17 Feb Payment system is so bad if you want to leave they will charge you extra 30 days

2nd if you go out you are unable to go back again because of QR scan system

Over crowded its only ads even in reality its over crowded staff don’t even bother to help you

He absolutely changed my life got me over my gym fears and educated me about things I never even imagined
Completely changed my relationship with food and helped me mentally as well as physically
Got me down from 150kg to 98kg in just over a year

Honestly saved my life and couldn’t recommend him enough 10/10 trainer and an even better person

I have been using this gym for over two years and I found that the staff’s behaviour is best as they are so much friendly and they always have smile on their face and very warm and welcoming attitude in their behaviour. Special thanks to its staff members Steve, Brandon (s), Venus, Dean, Jack and Will. Apologies if I forgot to mention any of the staff members. Staff is really helpful and friendly and going to this gym makes me feel fresh and complete stress free and achieving the target of a good physique for sure. Lots of equipment and space to work out. Thank you JD gym, you are the best. Thank you 🙏

Staff super rude.

Sauna is meant to close at 10 on weekdays and 8 on weekend. Decide to turn it off a hour early nearly daily and cleaner forces everyone out 15 minutes before closing.

Don’t listen to members at all.

Never helped me to access the gym. I paid for nothing. I wrote twice because I could not access the app with my email to generate the access QR. They replied once that they would help me and needed my email to proceed, I provided it. Never heard from them. As usual in these franchises in the UK, the telephone number is useless. I left a message, no reply. Come the end of my 30 days, they will find that I have cancelled the direct debit and will urgently wish to have a conversation.

Despite having been a regular user it is with huge disappointment that the customer service and the hygiene of this gym lacks in many evident ways. The horrific smell in the changing rooms including the sauna and showers is unacceptable. The early closing hours of the changing rooms seems to change every month and despite it closing well early and having ample time to clean it still smells.

Equipment that has been damaged in the gym stays out of service for days, calling the gym and getting someone on the phone doesn’t seem to exits. Very poor management being a spacious gym and many members are cancelling their membership. Customer have a right to counter claim their monies back as the services promised are not being delivered and the gym is not fit for its purpose and not delivering what it promises that comes under false misleading advertisement.

Despite huge opportunity this site is not given the attention it needs.

I didn't know how to get in i pressed the staff assistant button i was asked my name etc and I was let in and I was made very welcome and made at ease to be back 1st day back in the gym id recommend jd gym to anyone they are there for all your needs and more

Great gym, but cancellation needs improvement

I really enjoy the gym and the pricing is unbeatable. However, the cancellation process is a significant drawback. Unlike other gyms, you can't quickly cancel your membership; instead, you have to email the company and wait 6 to 8 weeks for a response. During that time, they often charge you for another month or two. When trying to recover those extra fees, communication can be frustrating, with many ignored emails. For this reason, I typically choose another gym, as their cancellation process is much more straightforward. I really hope the company can streamline this process to allow cancellations directly through the app without additional charges while waiting for a response.
