I appreciate and enjoy having the bookkeeping and accounting to keep me accountable, informed, and equipped. Not to mention the many different information given regarding private practice, management, and growth. I just opened my private practice in October 2025 and it really does help me focus on my client but not worry about my bookkeeping and finances.
Really annoyed at HEARD's service. I spent $1500 to ensure that they would help me with my past taxes and start my 1099 form for my one employee. I keep messaging them for help, but I haven't received a response. Not a word. Not a phone call. Now I have to go and pay someone else to help me do my taxes. So annoyed.
I have had a wonderful experience with Heard. I LOVE their platform and used them for my personal and business taxes. Their works was very thorough and communicative. So happy I've moved my system to work with them - it has been a huge game changer for me and my business.

Heard's accounting and tax experience is significantly more helpful and up-to-date than that of my prior accountants. I always know what I need to do and can see the state of my expenses and transactions. The dashboard provides me with additional information that is both helpful and relevant to my practice as a psychotherapist in private practice.
For those with straight-forward clinical practices and tax situations, Heard is a fine accompaniment. Over time, the software learns your expenses and auto-categorizes them. The bookkeeping aspect has worked very well, and I feel confident that I'm not missing entries. For those looking for more in-depth accounting (or those with complex tax situations), Heard is not set up for this.
I've been a Heard customer for almost 2 years now and in that period of time, I've seen so many improvements and added features. They are truly a company that lives up to their name! They take feedback from their customers and make positive changes. I'm really impressed with all the financial services I receive and their platform is very intuitive and easy to use. They significantly reduce my admin time so I'm able to focus on my practice. Also, the CEO and his team seem like really great people who truly care about their mission and helping therapists!
Heard is worth every penny!!!! I was highly undereducated, much like many other mental health professionals about paying my taxes while self-employed and felt blindsided and unsupported by my chosen field in this regard. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience in this first year using Heard. Not only is the platform user friendly and organized, but they are great at offering consistent reminders of deadlines, help you set income goals, and provide ongoing education to help you become more confident and independent. This has been a life-changing stress reducer for myself and my family.
