as a platform, kickstarter revoloutionised funding for small inventors and creators. it's enabled countless incredible products to come into existance that otherwise would not.the creators don't often fail, but sometimes they do.I feel like most of these reviews are about projects, not the platform written by people who do not understand that KICKSTARTER IS NOT A STORE.of the 12 projects I've backed, all but 2 have delivered. those two were both projects where the creators ran out of money while trying to deliver their over-ambitious and underpriced products.now to list some of my top 3 KS purchases:- Spinagogue- Narshole- Cache Belt
The payment system is bad, as it removes all protection of paying by credit card. If you receive a product that doesn’t do what is meant to, or don’t ever receive anything, you can’t claim on the credit card, as your payment was to Kickstarter, not the Campaigner.
Kickstarter allow scammers to operate. When the goods are not delivered you have no recourse at all. Even the credit card guarantee is void because you give the money to a third party (Kickstarter) not the scammers. Customer service is non existent and no one at Kickstarter cares that they're facilitating fraud. I've been trying to get them to hold Like Bike to account for 2 years, after a year of stock responses they don't reply at all even when you write direct to the CEO.
SCAM! Kickstarter does NOT care about you, only about earning money themselves. Companies are free to start a project, earn money and never deliver anything, free play for any scam company (making KS a semi scam company itself). KS doesn't care or solve anything for you...you have to fully trust a company that is on KS, if they are a scam, bad luck for you.
This is complete scam be aware! I would recommend you to avoid Kickstarter in all circumstances. I’ve been waiting for my terraplanter.com for nearly a year with them to postpone the delivery already 4 times during the passing months. They been selling goods to the world on other platforms and even on eBay so be aware to not to trust them! I have no hope for them to arrive at any time soon or in fact at all. They already have changed the name to Travaplanters due to bad press from the backers.If you leave them bad reviews on Instagram or Facebook they will delayed them purposely so people can not see the bad ones. In fact this same happens with the Kickstarter to avoid bad press and carry on scamming more people. I suggest you to ignore the reviews from superbackes, these are the people who are committed to sell lies to the world and convince you that they are genuine platform! You will never see the product and neither do the refund! And they are the one who’s getting reacher day by day because people are not aware of the scam that has been legalised. The whole Buissnes is a big scam so do not let them fool you! You better contact to your bank trying to get your money back. I am so glad that there is Trustpilot where people can not be fooled by scammers.
I don't like the fact that kickstarter doesn't approve many categories. Out of 3, 2 of my projects were declined. I won't even try to make a 4th in my life. Meanwhile, a guy raised 55.500 USD for making potato salad. Good job, Kickstarter!
Kickstarter enables scammers to run their scam without any recourse. Once the money is released they wash their hands from it and refuse to help. They even go so far as to completely ignore you and not respond to any of your support requests. These people have to held accountable. If you've been scammed on Kickstarter and Kickstarter has refused to help or has completely ignored you then please take a moment and file an online fraud complaint to New York Attorney Generals office. You can file a complaint even if you are outside United States.
