I recently used Klarna to buy a de‑icer gadget online. The seller turned out to be running a scam, which only became obvious when, after waiting six weeks, I received nothing but two small circular pieces of plastic in the post.
I raised a dispute with Klarna, and they agreed that I was right to challenge the transaction. However, instead of refunding me in full, they simply cancelled the remaining two instalments out of three. I still lost the first payment. It was only £5.66 on a £16 purchase, but the principle is the problem.
If this had been a £900 item, Klarna’s approach would have left me £300 out of pocket.
Had I used my credit card, I could have contacted my card provider and received a full refund under Section 75 protection. Klarna offered no such safeguard. As a result, I’ve now closed my Klarna account — they simply cannot be relied upon to protect their customers when something goes wrong.

Klarna is a very bad app. It is full of hidden fees and extra charges. Using it causes stress and frustration, and it can negatively impact your life. The app is poorly designed, unreliable, and overall a very unpleasant experience. I strongly advise against using Klarna.
It needs major improvements in transparency, reliability, and user experience.
Trouble making payment on the last two purchases, let’s hope it’s not permanent as it has put me off using it.
But it was perfect over the last 12 months& very easy to use.

I love this card I be telling a lot of people and sending it to people but not have received any money and bonus back yet maybe soon you don’t have to pay any extra money on the Klarna card at all.
KLARNA ruins Schufa credit score!!!!!! DO not use it! If you happen to cancel a split payment order, Klarna immediately ruins your Schufa and it will take ages sometimes a year to restore it! So after using Klarna , no bank will give you a loan!
Useless i spent an hour trying to use it for the 1st time on ebay it wouldn't accept my bank card despite bank authorisation for payment waste of time never trying it again
The store refunded me €153.26 on April 9th. I have never received this money in my bank account.
Klarna Customer Support is lying and manipulating facts:
They admitted they have NO UTR (transaction reference) and NO IBAN transfer proof.
Agents tell contradictory lies: one says the system "automatically paid off another invoice," another claims "I personally paid it back to the seller" 5 days later (which is absurd!).
I possess full evidence: I have all chat screenshots, invoices, and confirmation that the internal balance option was inactive.
Klarna is illegally withholding my funds and refuses to provide proof of payment. This is not a system error; it is theft. I am reporting this to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and ECC.

Seller never shipped item , show proof of cancellation also proof the seller Glohh lighting ( big scam) never reported back to Klarna about item been cancelled
Now I’m stuck paying for something I don’t have and seller not responding to Klarna get to collect the money
