When I initially ordered the replacement battery I needed, I had just received a battery from another source (through Amazon, but not Amazon's fault, I think...) that didn't operate as expected (my laptop wouldn't recognize the battery). I found Laptopbatterydirect.net during a search, and saw they had the battery I needed, and they seemed like a quality store to deal with, so I placed my order, and waited for delivery. When I received the package, the box it was shipped in was smashed in. I contacted the online chat customer support link, and was immediately responded to, which after explaining what I received, and providing a few pictures of the package and battery codes, I was told another battery was being shipped. I received the replacement battery today, installed it into my laptop, and am writing this review with my revived laptop. Prior to writing this review, I read my last one on May 7, 2024 which is still correct and solved the issue that I was having at the time. But, now I realize that the battery doesn't seem to last as long as I would expect. In the past, the original battery, I would have it plugged in 24/7 unless if I was using it. Now, with your battery, I only plug in the power adapter when the battery is less then15 percent charge. The reason for that is prior to purchasing your battery I read that the longevity of the battery is determined by how many times it is charged. So I changed how and when I would plug in the adapter to charge it. So I really don't know how long it should have sufficient power to operate the computer. But I do appreciate the info provided me on other factors that also effect the longevity or life of the battery. I am sure if there is a future issue that you will assist to resolve it. I was looking for a replacement battery for my older HP. It's a battery that is internal. I was a bit concerned about replacing it my self (66 y/o F) but with the help of a video and an exact replacement battery, all is good. Shipment was fast, battery was packaged well. The battery came on time, I was unaware that the battery would need to be calibrated to my laptop. I followed the instructions to do so, however the calibration did not work. I am not very tech savvy so after trying to calibrate a few times to no avail. As long as I left it plugged in it worked so I guess I am unable to say the battery was truly working.

I had to purchase a replacement battery for my work laptop. The older one was holding the charge for a maximum of 15 minutes. The order was a charm and I received the package few days later. Replacement was easy and the battery was already fully charged. I have been using it for the past two months. Works fine, but once fully charged, it lasts only 30 to 40 minutes. So not much of a change. But the service was great. Maybe there is a defect with this battery.

Update (07/3/2024):I ordered a replacement battery from Dell, and while making the swap, I noticed that the form factor and labeling of the Laptopbatterydirect battery were identical to those of the Dell. A message on the battery (from Dell) was that it was not for resale, but Laptopbatterydirect sold it to me. This is suspicious and should concern anyone purchasing a battery from this company.Original:The battery is good for about one year. Afterward, you will regret the purchase whenever the PC randomly shuts down even though the battery is charged and the laptop is plugged in. Stick with the OEM battery because at least you will get a solid three years versus this nonsense!
