The company itself is good and the products are reasonably priced and work really well.Unfortunately, they use Evri as the courier (the reincarnation of Hermes – messenger of the gods, god help us). Evri are to parcel delivery what the Keystone Kops were to law enforcement. But admittedly like the Keystone Kops you have to laugh.. or cry.Latest example:-Sun 19th say we are expecting your parcel form Lighting DirectTues 21st 4:03 am “we have your parcel”Wed 22nd 6:54 am we estimate we will deliver your parcel between 15:00 and 16:00 today. Knowing how flaky they are, although we had planned a day out we arrived home before 15:00 to be sure we got the parcelWed 22nd 16:47 there has been a delay to your parcel…we will let you know when it is out for delivery.Knowing how flaky they are it interrupted my sleep so having visited the loo at about 6:20am on Thursday, I thought I would check my email to ensure they did not plan to deliver at the crack before dawn. Sure enough….Thurs 23rd 6:09 our courier estimates they will deliver between 7:00 and 8:00. So, it was hardly worth trying to go back to sleep. Instead I washed and got ready and read the electronic paper awaiting the parcel. By 08:00 am I again smelt a rat, or perhaps a Hermes, and checked my email.Thurs 23rd 7:20 Our courier now estimates delivery between 14:30 and 15:30. Guess what.. it did not arriveFri 24th 7:42am. Courier estimates delivery between 11:00 and 12:00.Fri 24th 8:03am. Courier estimates delivery between 11:00 and 12:00…..BUT DIDN’T YOU JUST SAY THAT??Fri 24th 11:00am. A private car rolled up and someone delivered our long promised parcel. Jubilation all around.Fri 24th 11:01am. Email saying the parcel had been delivered. There was a “proof” photo which appeared to be a photo of the inner left armpit of Harold Wilsons Gannex Mac. Very strange..Fri 24th 11:18am. Email saying “Your local courier tried to deliver you parcel, but you weren’t in or we couldn’t het to your safe place. Accompanied of course by the photo of the inner left armpit of Harold Wilsons Gannex Mac. Er hello “Earth to Evri, or Hermes, or Keystone Kops or whatever you call yourselves today, is this the parcel you managed to actually deliver”. Surprise to both of us I know, but is that he one we are talking about??Honestly I was be ashamed at that performance, More importantly a company like Lighting Direct are having their own (good) performance knocked by using Evri.The lights work great . Shame about the courier.
Very nice lights and great delivery service, well packed etc. A bit disappointed as item reviews and diagrams show a two pin Euro connector which I ordered an adaptor for, only to find that it came shipped with one (so I've ended up with two adaptors I don't need, and probably not worth sending back). (Lighting Direct need to include in the description that a adaptor will be supplied).Further to reply below, the description (still) does not include this detail, and I can't possibly know this unless you tell me.
