We supply the documentation days in advance. When we go through border customs we never have a pars number for them. We go to Livingston office and they don't have any documentation either, therefore we wait for 2-3 hrs while the border office hunts down the needed paperwork.Our team that is assigned to us seems to have breakdown of communication to us and the office at the border.It is frustrating.
Been a client with Livingston for decades. Recently dropped 40k of invoices in our laps dating back 18+months. Clearly a clerical error on Livingstons part as we haven't received anything prior (we did a records retention search across all our systems to confirm). Never hear from our account rep.. we are currently evaluating our brokerage partner.
I thought everything was great and paid the broker fees and the duty and when my movers arrived at the boarder with a. Copy of the Livingston paid paperwork, - which is all the paperwork that Livingston said I needed my movers to show, the US Customs would not recognize that I had paid the duty and made my movers pay it again or leave my furniture,which they did, so I ended up paying twice. I left a message for my Livingston broker to call me regarding this and I never heard back until now when they are asking me for this review?
I find them very easy to deal with and any time I have spoken to a representative on the phone, they have been very helpful and courteous. Our account rep, Sarah Maurice, is a delight to work with especially when we had to review our account and needs. She explained things very well and helped those of us who are not well versed in customs lingo! Thanks
We have to reply many times to receive an answer, by email or phone, we didn't get any invoices since 3 weeks from CDN account ( around 150 missing ) No one clean statements even if we send copies and notes about what we want to pay.
