Review Time
My husband and I are redoing our kitchen. We went to Lowes to find a new kitchen faucet. We found one we liked, but they did not have it in the colors advertised. While we were there, we picked out a new refrigerator and microwave and set a the deliver date a few weeks out. There was a very nice gentleman who assisted us. We put the items on our card (minus the Faucet), plus S&H/delivery and haul away of our old refrigerator. 3 days later, I received a call from the store that the refrigerator we purchased was unavailable, and our money was refunded to an in-store gift card. I told them I don't want a gift card, but the person on the phone could not do anything about it. I went into the store and they were not able to help me and the manager was unavailable. I called the Lowes 1-800 number to cancel the rest of my order, since there is no need to pay the delivery charge on an item I could put in the back of my car. They could not cancel my entire order, because the store put the Refrigerator money on the in-store gift card. They forwarded me back to the store I had all the problems with. The young lady I talked to was very friendly, but said the manager would have to contact Corporate to see if they could move the money back to our Credit card, where it should have been to begin with. Now I don't have refrigerator, and I can't order it from another site because my money it tied up in an In-store gift card. We also purchased the faucet from another company. Waiting to hear back from Lowes. It shouldn't be this hard!
Terrible company that cheats their customers and defends poor workmanship from their contractor partners. They don’t stand behind their agreements even when they have proof of wrong doing. Will NEVER shop at or use Lowe’s again.
Public Awareness: Contract Roles at Lowe’s
This message is intended to raise awareness for professionals considering contract roles at Lowe’s.
- Unstable Contract Engagements: Employees may be removed from the company within 5 to 15 days of joining, without clear reasons or prior feedback from reporting managers or HR Business Partners.
- Lack of Work Assignment: Even after joining, projects or tasks may not be assigned promptly, leaving employees idle.
- Absence of Documentation: No process documents or structured onboarding materials are provided, making it difficult to understand expectations or responsibilities.
- Personal Experience: I joined Lowe’s on 09.02.2026 under a contract role. Despite being onboarded, no project or work was assigned to me, and there was no clarity on processes. Shortly after, I was removed without explanation.
DONT EVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THIS ESTERO LOWES!! And especially do not buy a pressure washer! They have only a 48 hour return allowance for A LOT of item in their store!
Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot just down the street! They are less expensive than lowes on most items and will NEVER hassle you on returns!
I am beyond furious right now.
I ordered TWO appliances from Lowe’s, trusting that a company their size could handle something as simple as delivery. What I didn’t know is that they outsource to RXO — and apparently that means “Roll the dice and hope for the best.”
My delivery was scheduled for 2/22. Instead, I get a casual phone call saying the truck “broke down somewhere in Mississippi” and they’re “trying to figure out how to get it back to Alabama.” Are you kidding me? How does an entire truck of appliances just end up stranded across state lines with no backup plan?
I spent over an hour and a half on the phone going back and forth between Lowe’s and RXO — getting passed around, repeating myself, and getting absolutely nowhere. No clear answers. No accountability. No real timeline. Just being told the appliances would come on 2/24!
So now my appliances are apparently sitting in some mystery warehouse in Alabama, and I’m supposed to just trust that 2/24 will magically happen?
This is unacceptable. When customers spend thousands of dollars, we expect professionalism, communication, and reliability — not excuses and shrugs.
If those appliances are not here on the rescheduled date, Lowe’s and RXO are going to hear every bit of this frustration — and then some.
Do better.
i ordered 5 new doors on August 23, 2025. I was told a salesman would come to the house show me samples and measure my doors. Two weeks later they sent someone to measure but they had no samples. I returned to the store and now they had no record of me or of my measurements. It took until October for salesman to come out. He had samples but had to keep changing the doors based on what the installer /manufacturer told him. In the end I was stuck ordering my best guess. I was told the doors would be ready to be installed the first week of December. I was charged for the entire job (almost $10k) On November 4th. When I received no information about the doors I called and was told the last door would be ready on December 17th. It wasn't. I was then told the doors would be ready on February 3rd. Then the last door came in December 28th. A week later I received cell phone call that my invoice was incorrect and I owed more money. I called my salesman and received two subsequent phone calls that the amount I initially paid is correct and I owed nothing. The next week I received another call that my invoice was incorrect. Finally after they called me the third time to try and get more money out of me, the installers called and said they were just notified that the doors came in and could install on 2/18. I received a call from corporate customer service, after I complained, to "ensure the rest went smoothly". I was told that the Installers will be picking up my doors from the store. On February 16th, I was told that my material orders was wrong, but not to worry 'cause they'll fix it free of charge. They then delivered the doors and materials to my garage as there was no room in my house. An hour after that they left the installer called me And told me he was not able to do the install and didn't know when it could be done. But he assumed Lowes had already called me to inform me of this. They did not. It is 6:30 PM on December February 19th. I have still not been informed that my installation would not take place on the 18th, No one has apologized and no one has rescheduled. My special customer service Rep called to ask how the install went. I asked when They could come and pick up the material, cancel my order, and return my money. She said she's checking. This is the worst experience I've ever had with any store.
If I could give zero I would. I ordered Agave Americana plants to be delivered, and apparently the store was out of the product they said they had 26 of on their website. The store shipped me Agave Blue Glow, not even remotely close to the same plant. Then the delivery person dropped the order off at another house in the neighborhood and I had to drive around to find it. Customer service could do nothing when I called them.
I bought a hot water tank from Lowes in October. A last minute fee of $250 was added by their installer DRF Trusted Property Solutions for a permit. Firstly they didn't organize the inspection by the county until I followed up one month later. And then 2 months later they still haven't refunded me the difference between the actual county fee and the $250 that I paid.
The word "Trusted" in their business name must be ironic. This company feels more like a scam.
I wish I could give negative stars. How far below ZERO can I go? Lowes ships via FedEx. Why not ship by pony express, or just tie it to a balloon toss it in the air and hope for the best. Look they're shipping is so bad, such an absolute abortion that if you can by a product anywhere else...DO IT!. The products are fine, but Lowes can't comprehend that when you buy a product, you actually want to recive it. To Lowes corporate office, pull your head out of you ass and use a shipper that actually ships.
They promise same-day delivery, completely false. This is the third time I ordered something and its not delivered the same day. last Item I ordered was placed in the morning so they would have enough time to deliver it the same day, very small item as well, but nothing. No delivery, no email saying the item isnt coming. This is why we go to Home depot, at least they tell straight up if its going to be the same day or not...lowes lies to get sales. I give them a 1/4 star.
