I’ve requested lycamobile pt for transfer of my old lyca number to the new eSIM I bought (iPhone started giving sim failure for the old sim) and it’s been more than 48hours and there’s no update. The customer support team is useless and all they say is we can’t do anything and have asked for a follow up. Due to this unpleasant service, my work has been affected. Won’t recommend this network to anyoneUpdate: after 80 hours they finally transferred my old number to the new one. But there's still one concern that when will they re-enable hotspot services?
On September 24, 2025, at around 12:34 p.m., I contacted the customer support line to request my CVP code.After correctly providing all the security details and the confirmation code sent via SMS, I was taken aback by the attitude of the representative who answered the call: after confirming my data, he asked me again for my name, and when I replied, I was directly accused of not being that person, claiming that I was a man and demanding to speak with the real account holder.I politely explained that I have a naturally deep voice — I am a singer and a contralto — and that, despite that, I am a woman and the actual account holder. Instead of showing understanding or at least handling the situation with minimal empathy or respect and offering an apology, the representative repeatedly and harshly insisted that I was a man, deliberately addressing me as “sir,” even after several corrections on my part. When, faced with humiliation and frustration, I firmly reiterated that I was the account holder, he hung up on me, abruptly ending the call without completing the service.This behavior is discriminatory, disrespectful, and deeply offensive. It caused me significant emotional distress and anxiety. I was unjustly accused of lying, disrespected as a woman, and denied access to my own account information.I have still not received the identification of the representative responsible for this incident, nor have I received any response to the three complaint emails I sent to your dedicated complaints address — the first of which was written on the very same day. It has now been twelve days.Total indifference on your part?
I have a prepaid plan with 100 GB for 30 days. I’m on vacation in Portugal. Most of the time, the speed is throttled by Lyca to between 1 and 7 Mbps that's very slow even for web surfing !!. With my regular provider in roaming, on the same Vodafone network (Lyca also uses Vodafone’s network in portugal), I get 200–280 Mbps. Sometimes Lyca’s speed is okay, between 60 and 120 Mbps, but it doesn’t last long and most of the time it’s very slow between 1 and 10 mbps !!!!. It’s cheap, but it’s garbage — I’ll never buy Lyca again. Very bad user experience. Next time I’ll go with MEO, NOS, or Vodafone.
I live in Lisbon and the signal of internet connection is so poor... Unbelievable, 2 minutes to check my balanc on internet banking.... I will get another provider .Update: they send me some instructions to improve the signal.. seem it's a little bit better. I will see in the next days.
