Review Time
Have been involved with preorders with Magfast since 2022. Despite multiple promised ship dates, not a single flagship product has been delivered. The only product they seem to be able to produce is a charging cable, which while nice, is extremely overpriced. In June of 2025, they admitted they failed and couldn't deliver their orders from 2022 (this has happened before with the founder a few years prior with ThingCharger). Under a very highly produced live broadcast, they said they would reinvent themselves and they offered all previous preorder customers "significant" credits for future purchases, with the caveat that it can only be used for up to 50% of the new purchase. Part of this new model is that they would no longer sell products that were preorders. They would only sell products that were in stock or already shipped from their manufacturers. This statement is directly from Seymour Segnit, and verifiable in their broadcasts. They promised that if you purchased their new generation of products, it would be delivered late Q3 to early Q4 2025. That was delayed to arrive in time for the 2025 holidays, then it turned into February 2026, now they have issues with their warehouse and shipping and need a few more weeks to ship. This is all on top of continually trying to sell more preorder products that they claim will start shipping in the next couple of months, but they never seem to materialize. They also have repeatedly asked for investments in the company, which I believe are offered under false pretenses. If you advertise that you are no longer offering preorders, but make the entire business model on preorders, the offering is in bad faith, and could be considered fraudulent.
If you ask enough times, over 7 requests, they will eventually offer a refund, but they seem to wipe their hands of any made investments, even though they solicited those investments under the pretense of a different business plan.
Regarding the shipping of products, even though they claim to have been shipping their current products for 2 months, not one has appeared on a secondary market, which makes me believe that very few have actually been delivered to customers. When you ask for the status, you get a form letter reply asking for more time, but no specific details of where you are in a queue, or a firm date for a resolution, though based on history, any promises have to be taken with a grain of salt.
At this point after 2 failed ventures under Mr. Segnit, I am not sure if the company continually takes on more they can handle, or if all of the updates are smoke an mirrors. I would like to think it is the prior, but Magfast has taken in millions from customers and have delivered little to no merchandise.
I have just received my new Database Pro, and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality, design, and the unit itself. It performs exactly as advertised, and the effort put into its presentation is commendable. It charges everything quickly and simultaneously! Over the past three years, I have never been let down by anything I have received, but this time they have truly elevated their standards. The packaging and the product are exceptional, and I am definitely planning to purchase more in the future.
Outstanding quality and impressive design with great comfort. I received a complimentary cell phone cover that fits perfectly. My $150 mystery box included an Air charger and two Lux cables. I gifted one to my brother, who typically uses retail products, and he was amazed by the superior quality of the Lux fire wire cable compared to what he received from Apple. We are both very pleased, and I eagerly await my AirPro Founder's Edition charger. I have a feeling my brother will be asking for one too.
I have invested a significant amount over the years, even before COVID, yet I have not received any of the products as promised. Each time, there’s a delay accompanied by an excuse, and then the loyalty program was introduced. Sadly, the only way to benefit from it is to spend more money and hope that the assurances from the leadership will eventually be fulfilled. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me multiple times, shame on me. The latest unfulfilled promise was that our recent orders would arrive during Christmas week. It's disappointing that I only received mystery boxes and vague explanations regarding shipping costs and delays, which once again provide uncertain timelines. I can say that the products I’ve managed to use are excellent. I hope to eventually share them with the family members I bought them for.
I pre-ordered products when Magfast were in start up. As they moved forward in fulfilling the orders they never did send me the products I pre-ordered. I contacted Tham on numerous occasions and got messages back that my order would be completed in a certain period of time but it never was. I am now 7 years out and even though I have continued to contact them I get no response. I was originally excited about receiving the products I ordered (in particular the battery charger for my lawn mower) I am now 83 years old and I just want people to know about the MGFAST "Oh ra ra "meetings they have about new products or investments in the company are lining their pockets, while not meeting their original commitments. Very disappointed in this company. I was so hopeful to receive the “amazing” products promised. 2.5 years later and I have only gotten 1 out of the 5 items I ordered. Contacting customer service, pointless. Just keep getting told to wait, and wait, and it will be shipped soon, months and months later, no products, no updates other than please check out our new opportunities to send us more money that will result in no actually product coming to you. I either want a refund, or the things I ordered, or similar to such. I wanted to love them…
I FINALLY got the chargers I originally ordered and I now realize why they didn't ship them out..... they don't charge. When I put my phone on the charger, it shows that it's charging and I get the haptic feedback when it hits the charger, but the battery doesn't charge, at all. I left it on the charger overnight and the battery percentage did not rise at all. It took SEVEN years for them to send me these chargers and they're completely useless. They don't even come with the USB-C cable needed to plug it in.
I purchased a MagFast Lux charging cable and was initially reassured by their limited lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, the cable itself is substandard—it failed after just a couple of normal uses despite being kept in pristine condition.When I contacted support to make a warranty claim, I worked with Maria from customer service. She first asked me to submit photos and videos, which I promptly provided. After confirming there was no damage or misuse, she then required me to complete a Google documentation form, which I also did.After waiting several days, Maria denied my lifetime warranty claim, citing that my purchase was part of a promotion. This reasoning is completely unacceptable, as nothing in MagFast’s warranty policy excludes promotional purchases. In fact, the warranty card was included in my product packaging. To make matters worse, she suggested I could buy a replacement cable at another “50%off promotional price”—which felt like an insult and another scam attempt.In my experience, MagFast has shown a lack of integrity and deceptive practices. Their products are poor in quality, and their so-called lifetime warranty is meaningless. They are quick to take your money but will find ways to deny legitimate claims.I cannot recommend MagFast to anyone—this company does not stand behind its products and misleads consumers.
Like all the other one star reviews I first "pre-ordered" from Magfast several years ago. Some years of waiting later they said they have stopped manufacturing the items I ordered! Rather than return my money I was given worthless Megabucks that can only be used to buy their new grossly overpriced product ($200+ for a phone charger!) Still won't refund my cash. So OK I'll use the megabucks for the new charger - only to be told "We cannot ship this item to the UK!)So my advice is avoid Magfast.
The MAGFAST Extreme portable charger is an absolute essential for my commute into Toronto. It holds a charge forever and can power up my iPhone multiple times. The fact that it can charge my laptop in a pinch is incredible. The magnetic attachment to the other chargers makes it so easy to keep the whole system together and ready to go.
