Worst service ever. Never order anything online from Makro, you're basically burning money away for no reason. I'm still waiting on an order placed on the 18th of Feb. The track is no help as the status doesn't move. No update emails, sms or any sort of communication unless you seek it out. Even an order that was made after the 18th from Amazon arrived and Makro still has yet to deliver.

I wish I read the reviews before buying from Makro online. Ordered 21 Jan, 2 weeks layer nothing. 5 calls later you dont get anywhere, no service and now almost month later still waiting for my refund! They advertise stock that they dont have, the call centre cant speak to suppliers...just STAY AWAY! Save yourself the agony of paying money for something you just wont get!

I ordered an office chair which showed in stock and that delivery would take 2 days. 2 days past and no delivery arrived. After emailing and enquiring, i got an email back to say the order was cancelled and refunded due to no stock.
Upon searching for the exact same chair again on Makro Online, i saw the price went up by R1500 too, so im thinking they make a mistake on the price and hence cancelled and refunded my order!
Absolutely pathetic!

Disappointing Experience with an Online Purchase

I ordered a fan online for a work gift exchange for our Christmas Party. When it arrived, the box appeared to have been opened and resealed. I reported this to the company and their courier service through their online review platform. After wrapping the gift and giving it to a colleague, I discovered the next day that there were no screws included to attach the blade or stand to the base. I contacted the company, and they instructed me to return the item via their online returns portal. My colleague brought the fan back to the office, and upon inspecting it, I was appalled by its condition. There were two bases, the grill lacked an emblem, the motor was scratched, the stand was bent, and no fittings were provided. The company has agreed to refund my purchase. My concern is that they work with unreliable online suppliers, wasting our time and money. Now, I have to wait 2 to 4 days for the return pickup, followed by another 5 to 7 days for my refund. As a loyal customer for years, it feels like they prioritize their own interests over customer satisfaction, with no apology or acknowledgment of the issues. This has been a very disappointing experience from a major retailer.

Poor delivery experience from the online store

The online store has a disappointing delivery service. There is a lack of communication and follow-ups, and their delivery promises are not fulfilled. You find yourself needing to reach out almost every day to inquire about late deliveries.

Regret not heeding the negative feedback, the service is terrible

I truly wish I had listened to the negative reviews; this service has been the worst. I ordered several items on the 27th of November with a delivery date promised for the 29th. As I write this on December 6th, I've received no calls, messages, or updates. The support team provides false information about the delivery. I'll never use this service again; it's better to stick with others that are reliable.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING SERVICE

I experienced terrible service from the company! I placed an order on November 29, 2025, and realized the delivery address was incorrect. I called immediately and was assured it would be fixed. Two days later, the wrong address was still showing, so I called again and received another promise that it would be resolved. The day before delivery, I called once more to confirm the address was corrected and was assured it was. However, the next day, my order was delivered to the wrong address. I called the company again, as I had two more items scheduled for delivery and wanted to ensure they went to the correct address, but I was hung up on and left on hold for a long time without assistance. I've emailed and called multiple times, and today they assured me the remaining items would be delivered correctly. However, the courier confirmed they would be sent to the wrong address again. None of my emails, complaints, or calls have been addressed, and I've spent money calling them repeatedly and traveling to where the items were supposed to be delivered. I will never purchase from this company again, and I advise others to avoid it as well.

No Stock Available?

I bought headphones on November 28, and my order has been marked as 'ready to ship' since December 1. Out of nowhere, I received a refund today. I called to inquire about the refund from the company (December 4) and was told it was due to stock unavailability. I checked this morning, and it still said 'ready to ship,' and the app didn’t indicate that it was out of stock...
