I have been a registered dealer with Manheim since 2016. After 10 years of doing business with them, this is by far the worst experience I’ve had.

This review refers specifically to the Manheim Central Florida location at:

9800 Bachman Rd
Orlando, FL 32824-8005

I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter through Manheim with an AutoGrade score of 4.2. After making documented improvements and repairs, I brought the vehicle back to this location to run it through the auction. I paid again for a condition report and photography service to properly market the unit online.

The result? A completely inconsistent and poorly executed report with a drastically lower score (2.8), incomplete photos, and no undercarriage picture — which is critical for a commercial van like a Sprinter.

The vehicle has now run through auction THREE TIMES with the same inaccurate report, despite:

Visiting the branch in person

Opening a Client Care case

Requesting escalation to management

Being a dealer client for 10 years

Nothing was corrected. No updated photos. No re-inspection. No meaningful follow-up.

Condition reports directly impact buyer confidence and bidding behavior. When the report is inconsistent and incomplete, it hurts the seller — and ultimately hurts the auction as well. Instead of addressing the issue, the vehicle was simply allowed to keep running through auction unchanged.

This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is extremely disappointing. As a long-term dealer client, I expect professionalism and responsiveness. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this branch.

Very frustrating experience.

Gone downhill over the last 5 years

Gone downhill over the last 5 years. I have been buying from them for 34 years and this company doesn’t care anymore about customer service. If there was a 0 star they would have got that. I bought an insurance policy from them called Manheim Surecheck and the policy is basically worthless. They have now messed me about for 97 days and I sent them a letter today from trading standards giving them 14 days to respond. If that fails I’m going to county court them for the money. Please do not buy a car from them they are absolutely useless. The manager has no power over anything and ignored my calls for 28 rings. I then phoned from home number and he answered first time. A joke beyond belief. This is going all across the internet so please like share and follow the rest of my story. Rob Long

Manheim is a scam

I tried to sell my car through Manheim. They had indicated a price of £9,100 and I had described in detail every little dent or scratch of the car. They came, took the car for a ride, took pictures and then said they could only pay £7,000They wasted one hour of my time. Their economic model is based on baiting clients with normal prices and then trying to get them 20% cheaper.Do not waste your time trying to sell them your car

Had a nightmare scenario with a purchase, the work of Tonya in complaints and Zack in customer service are the reason for the 5 star rating. Zack was honest on areas he wasnt aware of, went away found out and returned to me rather than "blagging it". Tonya clearly showed vast exerience and came at the problem from a fair perspective. Incredibly helpful and patient with me dealing with the issue to a fair outcome. Couldn't have asked for more from them!

Staff had terrible manors. Aweful Experience!

Staff had terrible manors at the reception so we went to the competing auction a few miles down the road in Chester-le-street and they were fantastically helpul... unlike manheim that just sucked the life out of me on speaking to reception

Facilitates fraud

Their seller American Credit Acceptance clears engine codes before the sale. Manheim is basically facilitating fraudulent transactions. "As-is" is not the same as fraud. "As-is" means to take it as it is in the condition it is in. Fraud is hiding problems by spending extra time concealing said problems.

Manheim, their Car buying service was exemplary…

The Car buying service was exemplary from start to finish. We had the best offer from this organisation and their commitment was to buy the car at the price quoted, which was the case. George the vehicle appraiser was punctual. His manner was professional but he had a courteous and friendly manner. The appraisal was done and his comment was that an honest description by the seller led to a satisfactory conclusion for bath parties. The funds were transferred there and then with no deductions. We would recommend this company above all others.
