Review Time
I wrote a long and detailed review about my experience. 3 Hours of writing, correcting, polishing and almost 2000 words. Left the page to check on the
spelling of a word (I'm not a native speaker of the English language) and come back to an empty comment box.
If the fates wanted my writings to be admired and monetised the world would be sharing my beautiful tales and famous bards and talented rappers would be composing music to the words that would inspire the next 20 generations of humans after which might or no be coming the end of the world.
Regarding the review, I'll write it later this year. If so. Or perhaps not
I am disappointed that Brittany Ferries continues to transport unweaned calves on 18hour journeys between Ireland and France, despite ongoing welfare concerns raised by NGOs and public.
Rather than facing these concerns, BF seems to prioritize profit and reputation management. Deleting critical comments instead of addressing them damages their credibility in my eyes.
Transport companies make choices about the business they support. Continuing this practice sends a clear message about priorities.
I expected better. :(
I needed to phone, as I couldn't modify return booking on website. Not long to wait, great service. Max was very well spoken, very happy to help, and the modifications were done in a minute or 2 and payment made! Great service!
I was disappointed - rang to check price to add bike carrier & was told £10 for French ferry one way but when I went to do it, it was actually £15 which was what I had been told for the Spanish ferry! Took me a while to work out how to do it too.
Brittany ferries are very helpful and their website is very easy to use and look up the different options available to suit your journey / holiday requirements. The flexi ticket also gives that extra flexibility when you need it.
Fantastic service and impressive vessels. Booking is a breeze. The food could be improved, served warmer, and with extended hours in the cafes and restaurants. Shops should also have longer hours and a wider selection. Prices for cabins and some crossings feel a bit steep now. Nevertheless, it remains the top ferry service.
I found the online booking process to be quite difficult and frustrating. It was particularly hard to arrange a return on a different route. Once I finally got the routes sorted, I faced challenges because I was booking for multiple people and didn't have all the necessary information, like dates of birth. It would have been helpful to have a note or tip at the beginning outlining what was needed before moving forward, as I ended up having to start over. A save option could improve the experience. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
For over 25 years, I have generally experienced excellent service from the company. However, during this occasion, I needed to cancel my wife's participation in our outward journey due to her needing to care for her father. I was quite disappointed to find that there was an additional fee just to remove her from the booking. Additionally, the process felt somewhat cumbersome.
