Extremely disappointed with the service.

My experience has been very frustrating. The sales manager was dishonest to secure the sale and failed to fulfill their promises. Now, after less than a year, I find myself with an unreliable product that has a critical error while I was on vacation. Switching to another supplier feels nearly impossible without incurring significant costs. I strongly advise against using this service!

How can companies sell incomplete and faulty products?

How is it acceptable for companies to release incomplete, faulty, and completely ineffective products? Out of around 40 sensors, only 2 or 3 functioned as promised. Just a couple lasted the claimed 7 days without issues. It's hard to believe how much time, money, and mental energy this product has wasted for someone who has been a diabetic for life. If it only lasts 2 days and sometimes works, it should be priced at $0.10 each. That might lead to satisfied customers. MAYBE***
I suggest exploring every other option available. Selling this product at such a price while claiming it works is outrageous. It's truly disappointing. I've had to revert to needles and finger pricks because I can't bear to even think of this brand.

Read before purchasing!!!

Since when can companies release incomplete, faulty and utterly useless products? Out of about 40 sensors, I've had 2 or 3 perform as advertised. 2 or 3 lasted the advertised 7 days without fault. I can't believe how much of a waste of money, time and mental patience of a lifelong diabetic this product is. Say it last 2 days and sometimes works and sell for $0.10 a piece. And then you might have happy customers. MIGHT***I recommend trying absolutely every other option possible. This is criminal to sell this crap at this price and say it works. Utterly disgusting medtronic....You have made me return to needles and finger picks. Just because I can't stand the taste of the word medtronic on my tongue. Fk you.

The absolute worst customer service and…

The absolute worst customer service and the most uncaring company I have ever dealt with. I would strongly recommend other services to anybody considering this company for their insulin pumps. They will charge you for supplies that you never received or for bad proof that you ordered in the first place. This has been going on for at least a year and I have already let my doctor know that she should not be recommending this company to any of her other patients.

Terrible product

Terrible product, but they appear to have a monopoly with the NHS so one of limited pump options to be prescribed. Pump might be great if the sensors actually worked for long enough. Sensors are faulty at least every third one. Wide range of different problems. Just get ' sensor updating' message for hours with no idea whether it will eventually work or to replace. Often painful to insert and very itchy. Very frustrating when the technology exists to produce successful sensors (both Dexcom and Libre very good) but Medtronic force you to use their inferior product. Had 4 months of this and am already wishing I'd stuck to injection.

Don't get pump from them.

I have had the 780g for about 2 years now and it seems when the pump has issues it's always at 2am. I recently had a sensor not connected at 1am in the morning. I had to replace the sensor 4 times before it would connect. Now I will be short on my supplies for the 3 months I get from Medtronics. I call the next day and I have two phones and I left one on hold and here it is 12 hours later and the music is still playing. I have moved up from 22 in line up to 17 after 12 hours. This is a warning do not get this pump I will be checking with my insurance on when I can change to a different pump company. This company is all about making money and could careless if it works or not. I know the stocks have dropped dramatically now the product and customer service show it.

Customer service is horrid

Customer service is horrid. The pump should just work. It does not. Very disappointing the the technical side cannot be as good as the diabetes management side.

Medtronic insulin pumps

I have used Medtronic insulin pumps for over 20 years, their technology used to be state of the art but now with the 780G series pump I am so disappointed at it performance I am totally done with Medtronic. Yesterday I had to change a sensor, the 3rd sensor with a new transmitter the sensor would not connect to the pump, the only way to get the sensor to connect to the pump was to take off a brand new sensor and un pair then re pair my transmitter I had this happen once before with the new transmitter that I remembered what the troubleshooting person said to do and it worked I called them to let them know but I was 18th in line so I waited a few minutes and left a call back number, my home, which I never received. I called back today was 9th in line did the same thing it took over an hour and a half for a call back, I was so frustrated I told the representative I didn’t want to talk about it and I expressed my extreme disappointment with Medtronic’s equipment my reason for sharing this is to warn you they used to be a great company but that is in the past, when you call for product support but have to listen to an ad about the device you already own, this should tell you all you need about this company’s priorities it is definitely profits over patients. I will be asking my Endocrinologist what he would recommend as a replacement the next time I see him, he has expressed disappointment with Medtronic in the past. Do they realize they are playing with peoples health and lives here? I think they are now just a profit center. I hope all the people who use Medtronic equipment have better experiences than I have, but I doubt it. Be careful with your diabetic choices I certainly will be looking for better therapies

I have had medronic insulin pump for 2…

I have had medronic insulin pump for 2 years. Every single time I call about anything they tell me something different. Trying to get my diabetic supplies from them is a nightmare. If you can stay away from medronic I recommend running.

If your a diabetic in the UK avoid this…

If your a diabetic in the UK avoid this company and its products, the Medtronic 780 insulin pump is made from cheap plastic that easily cracks, the Guardian 4 sensors hardly ever work for the full time they should and have a ridiculously long time of 3 hours start up time which then is often followed by the sensor updating or it will start updating at the most inconvenient of times. Getting supplies is nothing sort of a nightmare as you can no longer order infusion sets and reservoirs when you need them, instead they guess at what they think you should use and automatically send a order out about every 3 months, this does not take into consideration that there products often fail and need changing sooner than they should and that peoples insulin demands change and thus can be making set changes more often if they need higher doses of insulin etc, so you phone them up to ask for more and I have to say the people you speak to are very pleasant but you will have to justify why you need these supplies (to keep yourself alive) and they might just send out the absolute minimum they can, for example I asked for and it was agreed for 2 boxes of both infusion sets and reservoirs then only to see on the confirmation email just 1 box of each is going to be sent. So I guess going forward I will start reusing reservoirs and not change my infusion sets as often despite the the chance of infection.
