I have had a domain name registered with them since 2001. Every year they put the price of the domain name up. I am now paying $65 to renew it. Hardly a good loyalty scheme. On top of that last year I did not receive a reminder to renew which is against ICAAN rules. My site went off line for 24 hours and I risked losing everything.
I experienced a major setback when my domain was deactivated due to a Change of Registrant (COR) requirement, which led to my online business being down and resulted in thousands of dollars in lost revenue. While I appreciate that customer support was courteous and that the weekend limited immediate assistance, the disruption was severe. The renewal invoice—paid just last week—did not clearly highlight the ABN requirement, which added to the confusion. I hope Melbourne IT will refine their processes and communication to ensure that critical issues like these are resolved more swiftly. Ideally, businesses should not be taken offline during the weekend when proper support isn’t available. I've been a customer since 2016.
Had an issue of emails not reaching my Webmail or various email clients. Contacted Melbourne IT last week and Bayu was helpful at that time. Had a similar issue this past weekend and today Ibrahim resolved the issue successfully for me.
