Issues with the serpentine belt and costly repairs

The serpentine belt was making a loud squealing noise. Ultimately, I had to replace the belt, alternator, and battery. The belt started squealing once more, then came off entirely, causing the engine to fail and the timing chain to skip. It cost $7,000 to replace the engine, and it only had 85,000 miles on it. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I will not consider this brand again.

Belt issues led to major problems

Poor technical service and engine failure

After returning my vehicle twice for issues post-service, the engine suddenly seized. The dealer showed little interest, and the overall indifference from the brand was frustrating. This has been the worst experience I've had with any vehicle. I wish I had chosen a different manufacturer.

Mixed feelings about Mitsubishi's history

I have mixed feelings. When the brand raced AWD Lancers from 2008 to 2016, they outperformed others, but the discontinuation of Lancer Evos was disappointing. By now, these cars would have been popular. They were among the best ever made. I believe electric cars will struggle, and the Lancer Evo X should not have been retired.

Extremely disappointed with the brand

I am extremely disappointed with this brand. I will never purchase from them again. I've owned an SUV for two years, and it's been in the shop more than half that time. With only 43,000 miles, they refuse to cover a defective part because we were told by a mechanic that everything was fine. I've spent more on repairs than my initial down payment. It's been issue after issue. Think carefully before buying from this brand.
