Was charged a core deposit fee without any notes on “we won’t take back this model of transmission back because having your old transmission shipped back is more expensive”….kind of messed up because I waited over 3 months for them to find a core for a 97 4l60e so clearly it’s not like they’re just laying around for $10 at a yard sale. Either don’t charge the core fee, if the type of model is not cost efficient to ship back, or be honest and charge a $300 shipping fee and NOT promise a “quick and simple core return”.
The support team was outstanding, providing extremely helpful and prompt assistance. The shipping was impressive—not only more affordable than I anticipated, especially given my location, but also very speedy. I will certainly purchase from them again. Thank you!
Initially, I had concerns with the shifting when I purchased it new, and after 95k miles, it overheated on the highway, requiring a tow. I added a thermal bypass and had the fluid flushed at the dealer. The truck was shifting roughly and had noticeable torque converter shudder on the way home, so I didn’t drive it afterwards. I decided to take a chance and replaced the torque converter with a stock 1600rpm. After a test drive today, it was incredibly smooth and shifted perfectly, with temperatures in the 160's. I'm grateful for the helpful advice I received over the phone and for the availability of the parts at a discount. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Ordered and received the transmission within a week. Installation by my shop went smoothly, but had to work out the tune after a couple of days of driving. All good now. Scheduling the core return was also easy. Great price and included the fluid."

Vehicle Transmissions are as much of a necessity to your drivetrain as is the engine. Some transmissions are re-manufactured with a firmer shift and set with various shift points. Not one remanufacturer of transmissions covers all of these scenarios so...
