Extremely disappointing electric service!

This is one of the most frustrating electric services I've encountered! Living in a remote area, we've experienced five power outages this year, averaging four hours each, with the last one lasting an exhausting 13 hours. I had to leave my home late at night with my dog and spend the night in my car just to stay warm until the power was restored in the morning. It feels like a profit-driven company that neglects necessary maintenance to keep trees away from the power lines, as all outages have been caused by fallen limbs.

Repeated Issues with Customer Support

I've had to raise multiple complaints regarding the customer service support over the past year. This year alone, I've been left without a generator several times, despite relying on a CPAP machine with a battery backup. When the internet goes down, I'm cut off from communication since the entire street loses power and mobile data is unavailable. Even when I reach out to management, they seem indifferent, suggesting I return to my original provider. I've followed their advice, only to be told to go back to the national grid. I'm now considering legal action against the company for negligence and the impact on my health.

Brilliant service

The snow brought down the electricity cable to our house. The engineers kept us up to date with progress on deactivating the arcing, smoking cable, then the likely timing of our reconnection. They worked in the dark, up on a cherry picker in sleet/snow for several hours and finally we were back on grid. Thank you so much Jo, Josh and Ben.

Four times

Four times. In the last year I've had to. Raise several complaints about the customer service support and again this year already several times been left without a generator knowing I'm on a CPAP machine and lifeline I have a battery back up for. Internet but once it dies I have no contact from anyone as whole street goes out and no mobile data as it runs off national grids power source and even manager doesn't care when u complain and they just say go back to ur own provider which I have done and they tell me to go back to national grid I am now starting legal action against national grid for. Negligence and medical negligence on that

Excellent service

Excellent service. Great communication throughout and all of the team who have visited us on different occasions have been really friendly. Thank you especially to Tim for being prompt and really good at communicating even after a long night shift in the bad weather. Great team of workers. Cant fault anything.

We have had a number of faults on our street for the last year the last time I spoke to somebody at National Grid she had explained to me that they knew exactly what the problem was but weren’t allowed to fix it until it completely failed to be fixed so basically they admitted they were fixing it up until they had no choice but to dig the road up once again after a couple of weeks later we have now been without electric since this morning I have two disabled children in the property both with mental health needs an additional needs one is currently non-verbal the other has severe anxiety yet the best they can do is get it on by 6 pm that’s even if they can get it back on what’s the point in a priority service if that cannot be met for people that need it how many more times are they going to allow this to happen it needs to be fixed once and for all this has been an ongoing issue in the village now on our street for at least a year it needs to be fixed it’s not fair to leave people like this

Just moved from MA to VA

Just moved from MA to VA, best part is never having to deal with this clown show of a company again. When I moved into my place in MA it took them a month to turn the power on. When I moved out they shut the power off 5 days early while I was out of town and didn’t tell me and all my food went bad before thanksgiving and I got home to a cold dark apartment on thanksgiving. Their claims department was difficult and didn’t help me. 0/10 recommend this is the worst electric company I have ever dealt with in my life. Also, my electric cost dropped from 39/kwh to 9/kwh when I moved to VA. F national grid

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. You have multiple apartments, and we're forced to deal with them in new york. They are an english company located out of london and they don't care if service is on in new york or not.I will classify this company as monsters.Through complete incompetence of their own residents continue to be disconnected for no reason. It is a disaster to try to get them to correct their mistakes, i get services turned on for our tenants.Even myself after I bought my home and I put service in my name and everything was working fine.Me and my family went away for a few days to come back home to find everything disconnected. They did not remove the disconnect order from the previous owners, which they're supposed to do when they set up a new account. If you have propane, and you're thinking about moving over to the national grid, I would do your best not to do so.The level of income is just fantastic.Worst company I have ever dealt with
