I did the Makalu Base Camp 14 days with a small group of friends. Overall, I am very satisfied with all arrangements and services provided during this trip. The booking process was straightforward, without any communication problems whatsoever. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we met company's owner (who used to be a guide) to review the details of the trek, and we were given the opportunity to supplement out equipment by borrowing (free) or buying needed items. Our two guides were very friendly and helpful throughout the trip and knowledgeable about the details of each daily stage of the hike. I would definitely recommend Nepal Lion Tours to others who would consider a similar escapade.
Thank you to Nepal Lion Tours and Treks for providing us with such a memorable experience of Nepal. This company looked after us all the way from Kathmandu airport to Everest Basecamp and back. Our guide Bal was amazing during our trek, he was extremely patient and caring for us both and made sure we got the BEST out of the experience. Bal was also very knowledgeable about the trek and provided us with all the information we could have wished for.Shiva the owner of the company was brilliant in helping us with any queries we had and making sure we were safe and cared for. This is a Nepalese company and therefore know their surroundings very well. I would recommend booking with this company you will get your money's worth 👍.
I went on the 14 days Manaslu trek in March 2020 with Nepal lion tours & treks and had an amazing time! The mountain and nature scenery was breathtaking and a really memorable hike for me! Nepal is such an amazing country with such lovely people. I felt safe every moment of the trek and the company really takes care about everything. Starting with a pick up from the airport and welcome dinner, they will help you with every concern. It was absolutely no problem to travel alone as a woman. Nikesh was the best guide I could wish for, we had a really good time. He always wanted me to be happy and took care about me. So I can 100% recommend this company and my guide, it was a breathtaking amazing trek I will never forget. Everytime again, best choice:)
I was planning for my family holiday to Nepal and was looking out for tour operators who could organize all my bookings and transport arrangements. Since I had 2 small kids, I preferred to have a Jeep throughout my holiday at my disposal as it was a complete road trip. I came across this company Nepal Lion Tours and Treks, whom I noticed had good reviews for conducting trekking tours. Initially I was bit skeptical if they could arrange for my family holiday as I was looking for a bit relaxed itinerary with comfortable accommodation at all places, as against a rugged trek tour. However, I must admit that Shiva (owner of Nepal Treks and Tours) managed all my hotel accommodations at not only reasonable prices but to my choice of expectations also provided me with good driver throughout my journey. He was always available on phone calls during anytime of the day, if we had any issues and regularly called us everyday to check how our trip was going and whether our hotels were fine. We never felt that we had hired an agency but felt at home and friendly with Shiva. The 2 drivers I had during my trip, Chakra and Bikash were both very good and had good experience of driving on mountainous terrain. We had a great family trip and look forward to another one when my kids become little big enough for a trek. I would highly recommend Shiva and Nepal Tours and Treks for arranging any holidays.
As a lone traveller I appreciated being taken care of by the company! Bishnu was a great tour guide and was very attentive. I absolutely loved going to Nepal and working with this company! The trekking was great and I had some beautiful views plus Chitiwan was beautiful. I was able to see 4 Rhinos! I highly recommend to Visit Nepal in 2020 with this company!
I did the 5 day trek to Poon hill, my guide Bokassa and porter where great always made sure I was looked after and provided lots of information about the local area and the different mountains. The views where like nothing I’d seen before I took some the best pictures I’ve taken. Would highly recommend this trip. Visit Nepal 2020
My wife and I booked a private Langtang Valley View Trekking 7- Days trek with Nepal Lion Tours through Bookmundi. The trek started on 16 Nov and we reached the highest elevation during the trek, Kyangjin Ri, on Tuesday 19 Nov. We had Ram Bhatta as our guide and he was very attentive with us and easy to communicate with. The hotels / guesthouses we stayed got better and better as we climbed. Food was very good too.We also met Shiva, the manager of the company, after we arrived in Kathmandu before we set of to Langtang and also at the end of the trip when he took us for dinner. Shiva was also very attentive and nice to talk to.
I would have to say that this guide system does everything that you could ever ask for. I took three different tours with the Nepal Lion Trek and Tours, as being my first time in Nepal they did a lot to help me get around the city and picked me up from the airport free of charge. They were even so considerate as to keep me in a hotel while I was between tours. My first tour was an eight day trek that took me up into the Himalayan mountain city of Langtang, the entire experience was utterly breathtaking. I am so glad that they gave me the opportunity to walk among the natives in that area while having a kind and considerate guide with me at every step. They really do put a lot of thought and preparation into everything they do. The guide they had chosen for me was very helpful, patient, and fun. I could not recommend a trip like that enough. The sites and views all along the mountain all the way to Langtang was so elegant and powerful that I could never forget, topped off with the amazing view of Chergeri, I was stunned by how much there is to see in one trip, all organized by the Nepal Lion Treks and Tour. After my trekking to Langtang I did a three day-two night tour in a beautiful resort in Chitwan, called the Hermitage Resort. Coming from the United States I have to say they have one of the best service staff I have ever seen, they were always one step ahead of my needs and the food was always prepared well and with a smile. In the three days I spent in Chitwan I did things that I would never have thought I could do. This included a jungle walk where we saw fresh tiger footprints, a rhino and her baby, and even a group of swinging monkeys. I did many other things in the three days like dance culture program, elephant safari, and a sunset walk which were equally as amazing as the first jungle walk. I was honestly astonished by how kind and forward thinking the staff at the resort was, and how much they take your needs and desires into consideration in everything they do. Once again another great experience put together by the kind Nepal Lion Trek and Tours organization. My last tour was a day tour that took me around Kathmandu, and I have got to say that I was completely blown away by how much culture and variety there is in one city. Every street, every house, and every block was over flowing with the vast culture and rich atmosphere of how much there is to see in Kathmandu. I was so fortunate to have signed up with the Nepal Lion Treks and Tours because of how much knowledge they have on this beautiful country and how much they have to offer you. They were always thinking of you first and will only offer you the best experiences around Nepal for a considerate price tag. I know that in the future when I take my family to the great country of Nepal I will be booking with this group because I know I will get the most out of my money.
