I arrived in Nepal just over one month ago and was met at Kathmandu Tribhuvan airport by my guide for the next month Sohan.During that time and with the careful planning and flexibility by Nepal Lion Tours and Treks I managed to fulfill a 45 year ambition to get to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) with my son. Followed by a successful trek to Kyanjin Ri (4770m) in the Langtang Himalaya and then on to the Holy lake at Gosainkund.Everything went smoothly and the pace was adapted to meet my needs. Sohan was very patient and always there to help me. His knowledge of the mountains and of the wildlife (yes we actually saw a Red Panda) was unsurpassed.We even had time to visit his home village and meet family and friends.I would thoroughly recommend Nepal Lion Tours and Treks to organise your trekking trip, regardless of your ambitions. I am from NYC , United States. Did this trek solo in the last two weeks of Nov 2024. I successfully completed the trek including Tilicho lake and Thorongla pass. Porter Krishna Bhatta was very helpful and kept good company talking on variety of topics. Guide Dava Sherpa made a custom change at my request to make the Thoonga pass day lot easier by starting at Throng High instead of Throng Pedi. Owner Shiva was responsive and quickly organized everything just in two days. I thank the team at Nepal Lion for my success. I strongly recommend for other trekkers.
One of my friends had been recommended Shiva's company and I'm glad he had as Shiva had a handle on everything from the start.Organisation and communication was superb as well as fantastic value for money. Our guide, Binod, met us at Kathmandu Airport along with Shiva and then never left our side for the trip. Binod took us to the pharmacy and shops to make sure we had all our last minute medicines etc. The flight to Lukla was sensational and then we met our porters. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Binod and Sabin, our main porter. They were super friendly and efficient. We stayed in cosy tea houses and food and drink was always good. I can't believe how well potatoes grow in the Himalayas!We are looking at another trek in the region next Easter and, if we do, we will definitely book with Shiva and Nepal Lion Tours again 🇳🇵 🦁100% recommend. Fantastic company and services!
Our Trek to Annapurna Sanctuary was amazing. Our guide and porters were fun friendly and very kind, our guide carried a comprehensive first aide kit, which came in very handy when I caught a streaming cold! The office was easy to deal with and organised everything that we needed, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

We are a group of 4 people having not much experience on multi-day hiking before, and our guide binod has supported us a lot. He not only be good at English, but also have a wide knowledge about Himalayan culture and fauna and flora. Moreover, he took care of each of our members, from providing us what we need (sleeping bag, walking stick, crampon, etc.) to going side by side with me when I was the slowest person in group. Also, I would like to express my gratitude toward our porters, Raj and Dancing :Although they don't speak English, I can feel that they tried their best to help us. I remembered how happy we were whenever we saw them at the tea house where we stayed overnight. Thank you so much, Sonam, Raju. Without your support, we couldn't have had a multi-day hiking trip as successful as we are having. I would recommend Nepal Lion Tours and Treks companies anyone coming to Nepal!
