Samuel Ogden at Nexa Law proved his mettle in a complex sale which had several hiccups along route. Samuel was pro active at all times and kept me fully up to speed with what was a series of problems which had to be sorted with quick thinking and experience proving the value of an excellent advisor.
I have used Julia Hurren more than once and every time she does the job brilliantly. She and her team were excellent at keeping me on track (which isn’t the easiest job!) and always in a supportive, professional way. With a specific deadline in place she got the job done efficiently. I highly recommend using Julia and would use her services again but I’m planning on staying put now!
Samuel Ogden agreed to act as our solicitor on a property purchase. Over a period of several months, he responded to less than half of our emails/calls, offered no help/explanation on the purchase process (we were first time buyers), and less than a week before we were due to close, he informed us that he would no longer act as our solicitor, due to our funds requiring enhanced AML checks (we'd disclosed our source of funds several months before, he simply didn't review our documents). He offered no apologies, and his negligence cost us several thousand pounds due to the ensuing delays. The next solicitor (which we had to find with no help from Nexa law) closed the transaction within three weeks.
I can’t thank Samuel and the team enough! I used Nexa Law for the purchase of my first home and they’ve been amazing throughout. Clear and fast communication and everything was explained well through the whole process. Thank you so much - I would 100% recommend to anyone I know.
Samuel Ogden and his team All staff were extremely helpful and prompt with their responses. Emails were even answered over the weekends! The conveyancing was completed very smoothly. They kept me informed all the way through the transaction. A very helpful and professional service. Very happy with all aspects. Would recommend.
Julia and Rebecca were instrumental in getting the conveyancing work done to get the sale of my flat across the line. They went above and beyond not just with the necessary legalities but going outside the box to get relevant information from various third-parties needed by the buyer's solicitors. This was all the more demanding given the nuanced challenges involved with leasehold properties.Besides being professional, always on hand, available, and effective, above all they were enjoyable to work with.
I used Nexa Law (Samuel Ogden and his team) while selling my mothers house acting as executor of the estate. They guided me through the process and made the sale relatively straight forward. The team communicated well and responded in a timely fashion. i would certainly recommend them.
We dealt with Samuel Ogden. Despite several requests, Samuel did not provide an accurate engagement letter reflecting the legal work that he would do. The letter incorrectly said that we were selling our property, when we were not selling our property at all - we just needed some quite specific, but simple legal work done to transfer a small piece of land to us from a neighbour. Nexa asked for £1000 on account up front from me, but after providing this I was unable to complete the online onboarding process due to the accuracy issues with the engagement letter. Samuel seemed to ignore the issue and did not respond to repeated requests to amend the engagement letter so that we could complete the onboarding process and he could start work. All this time, I was receiving quite regular automated chaser emails asking me to complete the onboarding! In the end, after Nexa Law had our £1000 for 2 weeks, I emailed the complaints contact. I then received a rather sanctimonious response directly from Samuel who offered us the option of finding alternative legal representation and immediately returning our funds. We provided our own feedback and confirmed we no longer wanted him to do the work and would like our £1000 back. Two working days later, we have had no response (again) and have still not received the funds. To say I am unhappy with this experience would be an understatement. I need to find another lawyer, and I also still need my money back! The whole experience has been a significant waste of my time. If I could give this individual lawyer zero stars, I would.
