I apparently signed up for a one year contract with them that I wasn't aware of. The service is terrible with poor variety so they are locking people into year long contracts in a desperate bid to keep customers. Bad service, lack of decent content and shady business practices. Spare yourself the money and the headache.
The customer services are just a load of bullocks, she kept saying if I knew the minimum term is 12 months, I should tell her. Apparently, they put terms in invisible way and keep customers blind.
Absolutely awful practice of trapping new users in a 12 month contract, making it very hard to find the right subscription if you just want to sign up for a month to watch a specific show. Took me a while googling around to avoid a contract just to sign up for a month to watch ONE show I wanted to. Get in line with other streamers!!! Clearly trying to trick people into paying for a year, also the monthly cost is ridiculous when compared to other streamers. I pay £6 a month each for Netflix, Disney and Prime for MANY MANY MANY shows that I enjoy watching, NowTV literally has ONE show i want to watch and it cost me £10 a month without a contract, it is utterly absurd.
Sky/Now have had this issue for over a year and still can't be bothered to fix it. UHD streams are constantly out of sync with the audio/video. It's infuriating, especially as they have to audacity to charge you extra for UHD.
No wonder people find "other" ways to watch Sports content.
I have been using the service for 10 years and pay for an entertainment package and movies. Recently, I joined another platform and received a complimentary membership. Naturally, I wanted to cancel the monthly fee of around £20 that I am currently paying, but there is absolutely NO WAY TO DO THIS! It feels like I'm going in circles, with automated responses everywhere! The only representatives available seem focused on upselling rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. It's disappointing.
I was contacted by the company that took over my previous service to migrate to their broadband automatically (they assured me they would handle everything). Recently, I discovered that they continued to take money from my account while also charging me for their broadband fees. I was down over £600 before I noticed. Both companies blame each other. The call centers are useless, simply reading out statements while I try to explain that it's not relevant. No response to my emails either. You’d think an internet provider would notice an account that hasn't used any data in over a year, right? If you miss a payment, they contact you immediately, but if they owe you a refund? Nothing. Quite strange. I won’t give up on this.
The broadband router stopped functioning. After an hour of being transferred and dealing with the support team, they finally informed me that I needed a new router, which is no longer available. They then directed me to another service to set up a new account. I requested a basic broadband package, but they insisted on a more expensive option that included streaming services I don't use. They mentioned a technical issue and promised a callback within 15 minutes, but it has now been over an hour with no follow-up.
Is there an option for zero stars? I feel robbed. No one in my household subscribed to the service—good luck proving otherwise. We've been wasting money on it for months because they don't send any bills or invoices. It's all very sneaky. Stay away, it's appalling.
The broadband router stopped working. After an hour of being transferred around, they finally said I need a new router but they don’t make them anymore and transferred me again to set up a new account. I asked for a basic broadband package, but they insisted I take a more expensive one with added features I don't need. They promised to call me back due to a technical issue, but it’s been over an hour with no callback.
