Review Time
I went to the OneMain office near me to completely pay off my loan on October of 2023. Before this day I had never been late on a single payment. I asked the clerk MULTIPLE times if this was all I owed and nothing else would come out of my account and she assured me multiple times that my account was paid in full. I paid over 11,000 dollars. I still have the receipt. Two years later we get a call saying we still owed money! We thought it was a scam because we NEVER got any mail about owing them anything! We got a letter in January of this year stating we were past 30 days late! I called and somehow according to them we still owed! I still don’t believe we actually owed them any money! I was told THREE different totals on how much we owed which was a huge red flag! I spoke with a good person (the only good person in this company) named Clayton who said we could just pay the 456 and the account would be paid in full. I tried for three weeks to make this payment. Clayton couldn’t take it because of the department he was in. Every other person I spoke too said I owed a different amount and if I only paid the 456 I’d still owe. Clayton even said he put notes in the system and didn’t understand why I was having these issues. He finally had to three way into a conversation with me so I could make the payment. He said he’d put in a ticket and that he’d call me back when it was done. Well he called this past week and said it was done, we don’t owe anything else. Well I got a letter yesterday saying I still had to pay 40 dollars a month FOR TWO YEARS!!!! I’m so SO sick of this company!!! Not only are they trying to get even more money from me that I DONT owe, they have completely screwed my credit that I had worked on. My credit was over 700 and now it’s back down to 629. And they refused to fix it! They made MULTIPLE mistakes and continue making mistakes but REFUSE to fix my credit!
1. They told me it was paid in full in 2023
2. They didn’t even have my address so I got 0 mail concerning this
3. I’ve been told it was paid off AGAIN only to now be told I still SOMEHOW owe more money!
This is the absolute WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of working with! I had multiple things I needed to do that required good credit. Good credit THAT I SHOULD HAVE only for it to be ruined by a company that can’t get ANYTHING right!
I had the pleasure of securing a personal loan with OneMain Financial's Casselberry, Florida Branch. The Loan Officers name was Lisney. She had a very kind demeanor and walked me through the process making sure all aspects of the loan was covered and explained everything in detail. Her customer service skills were superb and she proved to be knowledgeable concerning all terms and conditions of the loans, making it easier to choose my terms. I highly recommend OneMain if you are searching for fair loan options but above all, if you choose OneMain ask for Lisney. She is an added bonus to the entire process.

Don’t do it! They say funding within 24 hours after approval, and it’s a lie! I applied, got a message from Geoffrey that I was approved and to just schedule a call. I scheduled it, but no call, so I called them. No answer so I left a message. Still no call, so I went back to the link and scheduled another call. Surprise! Still no call. So I called again and this time verified all my info and was told they would have the underwriter call me back by the end of the day. Guess what? Still no call, that was almost a week ago. I gave up and went somewhere else. Just sucks I had my credit pulled by a company that had no follow through. I highly encourage you to go somewhere else! Very bad experience! I should have read there reviews before applying
I applied for a secured loan and before they even spoke with me, they pulled a hard pull on my credit report which screwed me up and then they denied me alone. I would never ever suggest anyone try to get a loan from this company.
They tell you that these pre-approved for a loan and they run you the credit and tell you that you are approved and when they call you they tell you that not that they only offer you a little money and with high interest not with the interest that they approved, they have no word they only make you run the credit so in the end do not give you the pre-athem and so in that way they make you waste your time.
I provided all the necessary information to move forward with my application and linked my bank account. After receiving an email and a text from a representative confirming my application was approved, I was then instructed to schedule a 20-minute introductory call with one of their loan officers to review all the information I had already submitted online. Ultimately, I was informed that they could not continue with the application, despite earlier approval. This process was a waste of time and caused significant frustration. It felt unprofessional and misleading.
They qualified me swiftly, but the explanation regarding the payment and interest rate was insufficient. I was simply told what the payment would be, which is misleading; the interest is actually higher than the stated payment. The representative was not honest with me.
