Easy to handle with German health systemThanks to Ottonova, I never feel unsafe here in Germany. Whenever I have a question, I always get the answer quickly and clearly. I have never had to struggle to explain my situation in German because everyone in ottonova knows English and everyone of them are really helpful. I love the way that I can easily submit my documents and get my refunds quickly. Therefore, I have never feel short (moneywise) to pay my invoices.
Overall a good experience. However, I'd like to enphasize their poor to no support when it comes to getting the Amazon voucher they claim to give you one month after your contract is valid. When I asked for this, they told me that unless I have the code I joined Ottonova with, the Amazon voucher cannot be given. Poor support also as they don't follow up on this.
When I joined Ottonova, I really thought they would support me if I needed help. But when I sent a claim for new treatment, with a new plan and a clear start date, they said no — because they think it’s part of some old treatment. Seriously? That’s like saying if you ate soup once, now every meal is soup.I also had to wait almost three months just to get this answer. Three months with no update, and in the end, they just sent a rejection with confusing reasons that ignore the simple truth: the treatment started after I got the insurance.Ottonova is quick to take your money, but when it’s time to help you — they will find every excuse not to. If you want an insurance company that’s fair and actually does what it promises, this isn’t the one.
