DON’T ORDER FROM HERE! I ordered over 5 weeks ago and when I ordered it stated it would arrive within 2 weeks…..I’ve still not received it and had no confirmation that it has been dispatched! A lot of money and still zero product. Every week I have been told it would come this week but nothing!
Waited 15 working days for a bit of MDF to be despatched (still not delivered) when they state 6-9. Cannot get a refund as its cut to size even though I tried to cancel before it had even been despatched. Was basically told you will get it when they can be bothered to make it and send it out. Not reasonable IMO, are you supposed to wait indefinitely for it? If you need something for a specific time do not order their pre cut service as it probably wont arrive in time and then you will still be liable to pay for it.
Great order experience. Realised I hadn't ordered enough and needed an additional panel. So messaged customer services and order ammended swiftly with additional qualifying discount applied to outstanding invoice. All three panels arrived on time, individually boxed well packaged and free from damaged.
While the panels themselves look great, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The website promised delivery within 5–9 days, but my order arrived four weeks later. On top of that, I was charged €185 in unexpected customs fees, which were never mentioned at checkout. The delay disrupted my house move and caused unnecessary extra costs. Customer service was unhelpful and unclear throughout, leaving me to chase updates daily. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this company.
Took a lot longer to arrive than advised and then three were damaged. These companies never have a phone number to actually discuss any issues. These are not tongue and groove in the sense there is no male / female so they do not slot together. Fortunately I have a amazing joiner.
In terms of communication I had a positive experience. The team was responsive and helpful to all my questions on the chat. There is no phone number to call them which isn't helpful but they did call me back the same day to chat through my questions so no issues at all there. The products are lovely, BUT they do not travel well and there was confusion over delivery. I was given a tracking link that didn't work and despite multiple emails to try to confirm delivery time the panels arrived while I was out. I managed to sort it with the delivery company but not ideal.Upon opening the panels, almost every one was damaged somewhere on the edges and/or corners. They were VERY well packed with corner cushioning and lots of protection but they are not very robust and I think get easily damaged if the couriers aren't careful. Fortunately I had not chosen the custom sizing option so was able to just cut off the damaged areas for the most part. Had I gone with the custom option (which I was considering but was much more expensive) then to be honest I think only 1 of the panels would have been usable. On a positive note, they cut well, were easy to hang and look great now they are sanded and painted.I would use Panels by Sofia again but they could possibly use some investigation into how their deliveries are working as this lets them down a bit both in terms of tracking and how the couriers are treating the rather fragile panels in transit. I did a lot of shopping around and P by S definitely had the best range. My advice would be to order bigger than you need and cut to size yourself so you can get rid of any damage.
I really like the concept behind Panels by Sofia and the unique designs they offer — it’s what drew me to the company in the first place. Unfortunately, the quality of the panels was quite disappointing.Delivery took over a week, and once they were fitted and mist-coated, a number of defects became visible. Some of these could be repaired, but others were beyond fixing. It’s a real shame, because the products have potential — but the overall quality control just isn’t there yet.
Costs and delivery were good and well communicated. The product wasn't as good as I had hoped. The cut of the MDF was not a semi circles, they were more like arched triangles. We had to do a fair bit of sanding to create a better shape.
