Review Time
I was told for weeks that the part was on backorder with GE. Finally I called GE myself. No it isn't. PartSelect customer service said there was nothing they could do. Cancelled my order with them, ordered from appliancepartsgroup.com and they shipped it the next day. Because of my experience with partselect I called appliance parts group before ordering to confirm availability and they said they don't know why someone would tell me it's on backorder GE has 31 units available.My part select order number was 26853677
I ordered two refrigerator parts that the Partselect website said were compatible with my unit. They were not compatible and when processing my return, I was told I'd need to wait 30-90 days pending an internal investigation. I don't mind holding onto the parts but I do not understand why my payment needs to be held pending an internal investigation based on something that Partselect incorrectly listed on their website. I'll be pursuing with Visa if the non-responsiveness or repetitive answers from their customer experience team continue.
I ordered two pieces for my refrigerator. The first time was quick and easy. They shipped it quickly and I was able to replace my shelf within 9 days of ordering it. It was less time than originally quoted.The second order was a little different. I wasn't notified that my part had been backordered. I'd completely forgotten that I had ordered the part until I was looking at my bank account. It took about 3 weeks to get the part. When it did arrive, it was cracked. It took about 3-days of going back and forth with customer service to get the refund process going, but it basically involved uploading images of the damaged part, the shipping label, and the shipping carton. I was refunded quickly, so I am thankful for that.In the future, I probably will order from them again should I need a replacement part. The second order/shipment was less than stellar, but they did make it right. A little notice on the back ordered part would have been nice, but looking back, I should have been tracking the order more carefully.
Items purchased was not packaged very well. Some items were in boxes and others were just thrown in a bag with no protection which caused metal to metal scratches. Also did not receive all of the stove knobs that were part of the kit, out of the six knobs I received two correct ones and one mismatched. The item purchased was CAFE T SERIES KIT WB49XCR05T. That includes both metal and plastic parts. Knobs are stainless which arrived with scratches.
