I needed some rear brake pads for my scooter and saw this company advertised. Thought i'd take a chance. Very easy to order and pay and the parts arrived quicker than expected. Yes i would definately buy from them again but i'm just glad i didn't read the reviews first. It might have put me off, as some are really awful. In my case a definate 5 stars. Any problems in the future, i WILL update.
I’ve used Pedparts twice initially without issue. On the next occasion I found them to be very helpful in recommending parts for my brother’s mp3. But when I queried the build quality of my variator holder. Things did not run smoothly. I heard nothing when I sent it back and it was only on my 3rd email when I mentioned that I’d have to contact my bank to get a refund. They finally refunded me almost a month after posting and still without acknowledging my email. They told me they’d refunded me on the 4th email and in correspondences after this it emerged the refund was £3.66 less than I’d paid for this tool and a set of the rollers. Something to do with what it would of cost to send out the parts I kept. Then came a lot of abuse based on the fact that I was to dumb to use the tool as they had apparently tested it and found no issues. When I explained I had worked as a tool designer they change tack but refused to give me a full refund and refunded my return postage, totalling £6.34 in all. When I asked what the manufacturer said about my criticism of it they said “the manufacturer has stated they are quite happy to make a written statement that it is not faulty should it become legally escalated to the point that it is necessary for them to do so”. It is clear from Pedparts general attitude these are not bike people.
After sales service is a disgrace.We rang to get an upgraded cdi and they charged me over £80Once it arrived, I took it out of the packet to inspect it and then went to fit it only to discover its not the correct part they had supplied.Returned the part to them and they mail me telling me that because I have taken it out of the packaging, they will not refund me !!!
I bought a set of Honda panels from these guys there service is terrible I had two missing peices when my order came front centre panel and I got two left fairing instead of left and a right they emailed me telling me to send pictures through email I did this 3 times befor they told me they would speak to manufacturer I got a email two weeks ago telling em they would hear from their manufacturer by Monday last week it’s now been another week and still haven’t heard anything I said if I don’t get these parts I would like a refund and no body still has anything to say I’ve payed for parts that aren’t even enough to fix my scooter wouldn’t waste my time on these divvies and if I lived anywhere near Bristol ad get my parts!
From road to racing first place i come for all my parts as they sell everything i need for my yamaha. Delivery is great and very fast with much care taken to ensure items arrive undamaged. Customer service is the best around as any questions i have had have been replied to clearly and promptly.
Let me first start by saying - I've bought from them before and not had a problem, but that's because I didn't have a problem. If you receive a faulty/ damaged item from this company, that's when the issues start.They sent me an exhaust that was really badly manufactured. Literally didn't fit anywhere. So I sent an email with some pictures then followed up with a call. I was told 1. They do not collect faulty or damaged items, 2. I'd need to wait for them to inspect the exhaust before refunding or dispatching a new one. I was irritated - the bike was off the road so I couldn't wait, but it was quite a lot of money so I returned the exhaust and had to buy another one (from elsewhere). I followed up the return with an email to ask if they'd looked at the exhaust - they just emailed a link to their refund policy stating 'Up to 30 days'. I didn't give in, and asked repeatedly for confirmation that they had received the exhaust and whether they had looked at it. Still no answer - just a link to the refund policy. After 3 weeks of asking them the same question, the incredibly rude customer service assistant emailed me to say that 'I' was 'rude' and 'blocked' and that they would not respond to any more emails, I was absolutely amazed at the response. I hadn't been rude, just wanted a straight answer, which they would not give. I'm not alone here, there are others who have had the same issue, just see the other reviews. Having pretty much given up on them, I wrote one last time to state a date at which I would raise legal proceedings under the sales of goods act. This gained a response a few days later where they finally conceded that they hadn't looked at the exhaust, but would finally refund the money. It took them 4 weeks to ignore my return. If I hadn't kept on at them I'm certain I'd have never got my money back. I would say, only buy inexpensive components from these people if you must or risk the consequences if you need a refund.
