I’ve been using Perlego for the past three years of college and genuinely love the service. This week, I noticed that my subscription was set to end three days before my final exam. I was stressed because I either had to take the exam without access to my textbook or pay another $18 just to use it one last time before the semester ended.I reached out to Perlego to see if there was any chance of a reduced rate for a short extension. Syed from the Perlego team not only responded quickly, but kindly extended my subscription for the exact three days I needed, and didn’t charge me anything extra.I truly appreciate the support and customer care. Thank you, Perlego, and thank you, Syed, for helping make finals week a little less stressful. I highly recommend this service to any student who wants reliable, affordable access to textbooks.
I was in a real bind. Perlego allows me access to hundreds of current law-school texts, each of them $200 to $300 if I had to buy them. Suddenly, during take-home midterms, I lost access to the site. The Help desk in London was listed as closed overnight, but I emailed anyway, asking for help. Syed got back to me immediately and fixed the problem. You are a lifesaver, Syed!
Very useful membership during my psychotherapy studies. Comfortable text to speech. Very rarely the file format doesn't allow highlighting or text to speech due to licensing I think. The customer service is very quick and helpful in replying in the several times I have contacted them. Especially Syed was lovely dealing with my payment issue. It's amazing actually being able to reach out to a human when needed in these times, thank you, don't change that haha.
I urge anyone considering signing up for a subscription with Perlego to be very careful. The cancellation process is not straightforward, and I’ve had repeated issues with it.I’ve now had this happen twice. I believed I had cancelled my subscription, only to be charged again afterwards. I finally managed to cancel my subscription on 09/10/2025 and even closed my account, yet on 13/10/2025, another £12 payment was still taken from my card.It’s incredibly frustrating to have to chase refunds after properly cancelling a service. I hope Perlego improves their cancellation and billing process so others don’t experience the same issue.
Perlego is incredibly useful for me during my veterinary medicine studies and also for afterwards. It gives me access to a diverse range of books with more specific knowledge and guidelines that are able to be covered in my university courses. My only complaint is that some of the books I have accessed do not allow to highlight and annotate some sections of text (BSAVA Wound Care). Hopefully this can be corrected with another version of the book.
