We clearly told the phone operator that the wasps were not moving and found in the loft.Instead of just saying they are inactive and we don’t need to come. They turned up late. Charged £90 call out charge. Did nothing. Said the wasp nest is inactive and forced us to pay £90. Absolute scam of a company.An honest company would simply have said the wasp nest is inactive over the phone . The cheek to charge £90 to come and look and leave in minutes.What a waste of £90Turned up late. No business card. I researched online to look for a reputable pest control professional and registered company, they were very professional and even offered me a 10% discount, which I was pleased about. My service included a 2 visits, initial inspection and then putting down the baits in the kitchen area near the pipes, but I discovered that on the 2nd visit, the pest baits were left there and I had to report this before this was put right, the technician who came across really well was not pleased that he had to visit my address again after the 2nd visit on the 30/08/25 to remove the baits but this should have been removed on the 2nd visit, and didn't want to put back the kitchen plinth sealing strip back so it clips together, only did this after me asking, but this I had to do again, as it was not fully sealed. After this experience, I not sure whether I would recommend them but they did rectify the issue fairly promptly.
I paid £120 for a wasp/hornet problem and the technician only had a look, said there was no nest, and left without carrying out a proper inspection or treatment. The problem has since escalated to 40+ wasps at a time, making my garden unusable and unsafe for myself, my dog and my young son. I cannot open any windows and they are all located by my back door. I was promised a follow-up call which never happened. Instead, I was sent a basic wasp bag trap, which is not an adequate solution for an infestation of this scale. For the cost, I expected a professional inspection, nest location, and treatment — not DIY traps. Very disappointing service.
I suspected we had a problem with mice or rats behind our built in toilet cistern cupboard. Being aware that any potential infestation of rodents is time critical I looked for a company. Unfortunately it was at about 20:00 hours, so I contacted Pest UK via WhatsApp out of hours and first thing the following morning they contacted me back and an appointment booked for a couple of days later. A couple of days later, Kev from Pest UK arrived and during his visit he explained the process and laid down rodent poison directly on potentially affected areas and also set traps and bait boxes. He was very thorough and explained that he would re-visit in a couple of weeks. Later that day I heard one of the traps actuate and upon inspecting it was evident that a rat had been caught. Thank you Kev and looking forward to seeing you at the re-visit in a couple of weeks
I am very disappointed with the service from Pest UK. Despite having two treatments carried out, the bedbug issue has not been resolved and live bedbugs are still being found. For the cost and inconvenience, I expected the problem to be properly dealt with, but unfortunately this has not been the case.The response I received was that the treatment should remain effective for several weeks, yet the continued presence of bedbugs clearly shows otherwise. I feel the service has not delivered on its promise and has left me very dissatisfied. I cannot recommend Pest UK based on this experience.
