A legitimate company that acts like a spam/virus/ransomware site? I have flagged the sender of emails at least a dozen times in MS Outlook, and yet I keep getting the assorted emails. As best I can tell, they must use a slight variation on the sender domain each time, as otherwise the Outlook junk mail filter is pretty good.I put today as my experience date, but I've been getting these for several months. I do not recall ever using this "service." Accordingly, I NEVER open the emails. No way this is legitimate! Suggestion to Trustpilot: Add -0- stars as an option.
Before Photobucket become completely unusable without paying it with real money, I use to be it's regular user where it's nonexistent copyright rules(which ironically this applies later into Wix' deviantart) did make Recolors run rampant and this makes me hate Recolor OCs even before I was a Sonic fanthis site become completely and utterly pay to use did help turns Deviantart under Wix into Photobucket 2.0
Scam! When free period ends, you are forced to pay $5 if you want to access your pictures that you have uploaded. People living in EU, you can (hopefully) force them to send you your photos to you since it's your information. Then ask to delete it all.
SCAM! I got the email too that stated just a click of a button was needed to reactivate my account. (Not sure if I ever had one or not). Then when you get there it shows it's $5 to reactivate. Nowhere does it say $5 per month! I didn't sign up, I searched online once I saw the $5 fee. SCAM
For years they keep sending hundreds of emails threatening to delete my photos as they no longer support free accounts. However there is no way to retrieve your photos without paying up.If you follow the deletion steps, it doesn't seem to work. I log in and it tells me I'm not logged in. Presumably you need to pay to reactivate your account, download your files and for account deletion to work. Assuming they haven't deleted everything already.Lucky for me I don't care what they do as I backed up my files elsewhere years ago. I could list the alternatives but there are so many better sites than the rotting husk of Photobucket I'd be here all day. I can only hope that no one gives them $5 and they will cease trading.
This company is a pure Scam!! I too have been getting emails saying that my account will be deleted unless I log in. Tried a couple of times and didn't remember user name or password and no help for recovering them....IF I ever even had an account with them! Resent email saying last chance and a recovery method so I tried it and was able to change my password.Immediately it says to continue to use the service I need to pay $5! I am not able to see any of my supposedly saved photo's and honestly don't remember even using the website before. I wrote them and got an immediate reply referencing a website that was useless. In other words it's a Scam and they are aware so they brush you off when you call them out. Don't fall for the SCAM!
