Dishonest, untrustworthy, not worth the time to recover your photos for $5 because they seem to have deleted nearly all of my pictures.Thankfully you can recover what photos you have without having to pay. Clicking "continue to account deletion." Keep going through about 3 screens but STOP when you get to the "Request download link". Click it and you will be sent a zipfile with any photos (if there are any). Once you download your zip file, now click "confirm account deletion" to delete your account.
I have tried to cacel this service, for a long time. I have got absolute nothing from photobucket. And now they are telling me I have to pay to cancel. Pay for what?? I'm agitated trying cacel and stop the 5$ taken out of my account.
I just love the fact that I have a place to come and view the only memories I have left of my family and it doesn't cost me hundreds of dollars.and the workers of photobucket are so nice polite and respectful.im happy to say that I found this place for my most precious memories.
DO NOT REGISTER YOU HAVE LOST NOTHING.This is my first review.I've uploaded pictures on Photobucket, about 15 years ago. I'm quite certain, I've fallen for the same scam, as many others whom are reporting here.Being a trustworthy person, after 15 years, and receiving emails from them every week saying my account is going to be permanently deleted, I decided to click the link, and retreive my account.Retreiving your account, costs 5$, and sets you up for a monthly payment plan as well. Once I recovered my account, NOONE of my old pictures were there, and I entered a fresh new account, and had to cancel the payment plan.At this point, I had already lost 5$.We should sue Photobucket, for not giving what they offer in the emails, by now, but I highly doubt it's worth a case, and we're just sending money to an account by the mass and fall for this total scam. a Scam thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of us fall for eventually.
I used this website since at least 2004.It was free. Had zero watermarks.This website is garbage now. I only keep it because of the threats of deleting all my pictures I have on my account. That I don't have anywhere else. What kind of crap is that? To THREATEN to delete pictures unless you pay. And on top of it all, watermarks.. on pictures of your daughter.
All I can recommend people to do is to delete there account. Seven years on they are still trying to extort money out of people. They current offer is for five dollars, they will let you download any photos you have with them. They don't however say if you have any photos stored though, and are just sending it to every account that was registered.Avoid giving them any money,, it is just a scam site and the sooner it goes offline the better!
