Plenty of space to park our car and easy access to the hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble they were a real credit to the place. Our room was spacious with great views of surrounding area, had lots of extras that covered everything we needed. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced all in very comfortable surroundings. We didn’t have breakfast due to the bad weather as we decided to head home earlier than planned but we plan on returning in the not too distant future. Would highly recommend a stay in this place with its stunning location and surroundings.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had.The hotel website states it has a 24 hour reception. I arrived just after 11pm but there were no staff in sight. I tried calling their phone number but the phone just rang out in the room I was standing in. Bizarrely, the kitchen and back of house area was still open, so I had a little wander around trying to find someone to help but to no avail. What would have happened if the guests had an emergency in the night?! After an hour of waiting for someone to show up, I gave up and went home. Which meant driving 3 hours at midnight.Thankfully got a refund the next morning, but no suggestion of compensation, such as a free stay at a later date. Shocking service.Avoid at all costs.
This hotel is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the local area. The bedrooms are beautifully clean and well equipped. It was great to have a bath after a cold wet day out! The staff were great, all really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The only slight negative is they do not serve snacks in the bar so make sure to pack your own to go with your early evening drinks. There is a Morrisons and Co-Op in the local town which is a 2 minute drive away. The food is nothing fancy, just perfect for filling up after a day out. But a good choice, and a kids menu available. If you are looking for a luxury hotel break away, this is not the place. If you are looking for a warm, welcoming and friendly stay then this is absolutely perfect. Couldn't fault it!
Really enjoyed my stay at Plas Weunydd. Set amongst beautiful scenery which means great walks are on your doorstep. Unfortunately the local town doesn’t offer too much for food options, 2 pubs were closed due to fire damage and the takeaway options didn’t seem brilliant. My room was very cosy, although as the adjoining rooms are so closely set you can here everything and with being on the ground floor and the windows frosted out for privacy I wasn’t able to take in the lovely views. All staff I interacted with were very welcoming and were both polite and courteous. The meal and a couple of Guinness’s by the fire after a day of walking in the rain were a great way to finish off my weekend there.
The stay was beautiful with amazing views. The glamping tent was well set up and cosy. The staff were friendly. The hotel where we had breakfast was nice. We didn’t eat there in the evening as the menu didn’t offer very much gluten free.
My wife and I stayed recently and would like to say that the staff were very friendly and professional. Obviously the hotel was not busy but that did not detract from the level of service. Free room upgrade was unexpected and nice to have. All in all a wonderful experience. Thankyou.
Hotel was very welcoming especially with the dogs. Room warm and comfortable and hotel staff all friendly and always had a smile. My only niggle was the difference between the busy/quiet days in the restaurant. Breakfast on the busy days was kept buffet style on a hot plate, unfortunately it wasn't hot and stone cold, which isn't that appetising. Again on 2 occasions the evening meal wasn't that hot, but the staff seemed very busy so didnt like to add any stress. Maybe it would be good to invest in a proper hot counter if offering buffet breakfasts. This didnt spoil are stay and found the location perfect for exploring.
We had a fab family weekend here in 2x glamping hut, fantastic facilities in the huts and clean, very cosy with the log burner going. Each night we went to the main hotel for food and drinks, the food was great and large portions, the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning to stay again. Thank you to all the bar team, chefs and house keepers.
