Don't respond to sales request.I filled in a request to be contacted by sales, but it required me to fill in a phone number. I don't like to be contacted by phone (for reasons of disability) so I just put in 0123456789 and N/A for the company.I haven't had any reply from them. Clearly they don't care. Pity because I wanted to discuss pricing for 100+ licenses.Their loss.
Pluralsight's website is a little confusing with regards to company subscriptions. Having made a simple mistake and created too many subscriptions (10, when we only needed 2), we have asked the company to reduce the subscription level, as we will never use this many subscriptions. In a little over a week we have had several automated responses but no direct contact with regards to this. I am getting the feeling that this company is to be avoided. Believe some of the other reviews...avoid at all costs!!!
I’ve been a subscriber for 2 years mostly for COMPTIA A+ and my subscription auto-renewed even though I cancelled it (I think…). I requested a refund and they processed it within the hour, even though it’s Saturday! 100% recommend the customer service and learning material!
We've been using Pluralsight for a over a year to train our graduates. Usage has declined so I requested to drop from 5 seats to 2 seats 1 day before my subscription was due to auto renew. The T&C's do say it's 30 days notice but there is absolutly no wriggle room in this. So I'm now paying for 5 seats, 3 of which are not used until November 2023. Our account manager also dodges every email sent to him.I won't be returning as a customer after this term.Terrible customer retention stratergy.1 Star - Beacuse ZERO wasn't an option.
I acidentially subscribed to the service because I tried the free trial but forgot to cancel. I mailed the customer service and ask them for a refund. They responded really quickly and paid me back. Great customer service. For the product itself. I really liked it but just couldn't afford it at the time
If their service and content was worth the money, they would not need to automatically subscribe you to their annual plan and bill you the full amount of money... Sadly I was to slow to cancel the free trial. The content of the basic subscription is on par with what you get for free on youtoube.Do not waste your time and money on Pluralsight.
So I have been a Pluralsight member since 2018 on the standard plan (back then you had access to all 7,000 + courses). Now I get an email saying 50% for Black Friday / Cyber Monday - so I log into my Dashboard and go to subscriptions, and sure enough a button says "50% off".Clicking this button - I don't get 50% off. Regular price is $299, I am being charged $178.80 (so not half price).I have logged a ticket with support on this, but they are saying this is for new customers only. Then why have it on my dashboard. They also say that the 50% off price is for Standard or Premium, and I am on an old account which has all the features of Premium (access to all 7K courses) but costs less. As they will not honor this, they obviously want me to either leave, or pay more for the same content, whilst giving out misleading and obviously false advertising.Reading other reviews the new model is to cut the videos in half, have the basic ones at the cheaper price and the one's you want at the more expensive price - this is totally wrong.I have complaints and tickets logged - but Pluralsight are ignoring me or using the canned response of "this offer is only open to new customers" - then don't advertise it on my dashboard, I am obviously not a new customer. At this stage - I am happy to cancel it and go with an alternative, there are always tons of free videos on YouTube, all someone needs to do is set up a website to catalog them and offer it for free, in which case Pluralsight's model will be out of the window. As I am a software engineer, that's not a bad shout.
While we were initially satisfied with PluralSights, about a year later, a few weeks before the account billing renewal, we emailed PluralSight to cancel our company account. At that point our team had not used their service for approximately 4 months, with zero account activity over that time. They refused, stating you have to give them 30 days notice BEFORE the renewal date to cancel. We replied they can see we havent made use of the service recently and we no longer need the service, please cancel the account. They did not reply, then about 2 weeks later, they charged us anyway despite us politely requesting they cancel the account.Do not trust this company with your credit card or payment information, they operate like scammers.
I actually liked Pluralsight, especially Scott Allen's material on C# and .NET, he was an excellent teacher. However Pluralsight kept on detecting unusual activity on my account, I had been extremely careful to log out after each session. I was millitant to not allow anyone else to use my account, and to only be logged in on one machine at a time. I've seen many people have this exact same complaint, that Pluralsight's suspicious activity detection is extremely paranoid. They seem unwilling to take a look and adjust their algorithm which seems perplexing to me considering so many others have had this same issue with them. After innocently trying to use their sevices, Pluralsight banned me because of their paranoid suspicious activity detection. This is absolute nonsense.
