Review Time
Even when I was at sea for 7 months during the winter they were showing my boat. Everyone I dealt with - from the local agent to the closing agent in Florida - was professional. Mine was a hard boat to sell, but they got it done and didn't waste my time.They photographed it. Listed it online. Showed it. When it came time, they handled the transaction efficiently and thoroughly. A point of note: After fully researching POP Yachts when trying to find a broker, I realized their business model opens them up to being scammed by buyers- people who try to cut deals with the owners behind the agent's back for a lower cost. I've seen these unscrupulous buyer's crappy reviews... use your BS-meter when reading these reviews- it's mostly just sour-grapes.Also, as a seller, I listed my boat higher than the market would support at that moment in time... and the fee they earn is based on that original listing price. As I lowered my price, their fee stayed the same. I'll reiterate - they did a good job and got it done and good for them; but you might want to take the time to discuss the initial listing price with the agent for their feedback- it could speed your sale and put that money in your pocket sooner, rather than giving a good chunk of it away to the marina slowly in the form of moorage while your overpriced boat sits on the market.Ultimately, though, your motivation is the agent's mandate. Do what you can to help them out and be flexible. I will certainly use them again when I'm in the market to buy (or sell again) in the future.
I would like to recognize Bob Racz , he went above and beyond to help me with my transaction, he also advised me on my return trip from Brooklyn,NY to R.I. thru Long Island sound! And Fred Pupke helped tie things together with the paper work. Both gentlemen were very professional and made this experience easier than expected.

Great experience for me and my wife has turned into a nightmare with the closing staff. Sales rep and Closing associate answered all questions we had and emails were answered in less than 24 hours. The biggest issue we came across was our title and registration paperwork that we paid for Pop Yachts to complete. Documents took over a month to get done and appears that some of our paperwork was misplaced. So we had to send them new ones almost a month after the sale. Recommend purchasing your vessel through Pop Yachts for safety, but recommend handling your own title and registration documents if you want them done on time.

She even sent out an offer contract to the seller well after 9 pm at night for us. Highly recommend Mark Ellefsen as a sales rep. In the boat arena it is hard to even get a call back sometimes. We met Mark 3 years ago, and although we bought our first bought through an individual, Mark stayed in touch and got us into our second boat.Closing. Coordinator, Hannah was thorough with follow up and timelines to get us closed.Although we didn’t first hit it off with the listing rep (Roger Williams), he also went the extra mile to make sure we had our last minute needs met.POP Yachts is a winner in our book.
