The ability to locate, peruse and connect with an RV anywhere in the country was great! The variety of makes, models and styles was unsurpassed. Not having to pay a dealer's markup and getting a unit that typically has already taken the hit of depreciation is a huge bonus. We were fortunate to find the right RV at the right price right in our area!April Rose was our "buyer's agent" (in Florida) and King Garrett represented the seller in Arizona. April put us in touch with King who met us multiple time at the seller's location. The communication was a tad slow, having to go thru channels, but we eventually got it done. Since we arranged our own financing Tricia the clising agent stepped-up as liason with our lender, taking the difficulty out of transition forms and funds.King arranged with the seller for our inspector to come in and do his work as well as communicating to the seller items we'd like to have repaired. The entire process took a bit more time than expected (30 days from initial contact to closing, much like a home). Well IT IS! The RV was at the repair shop when we closed and we were told "go get it." This was rather disappointing as we had no one to walk us thru the operation of the unit. Owner said "All the books are there" when asked about how something worked. In all honesty we believe much of its operation may have been unknown to him since the three year old unit had less than 9000 miles on it. But we can read and there are many helpful Facebook groups to reach out to. All in all I recommend POP for their thoroughness and professionalism. It's understood they have hundreds of buyers and sellers coast to coast and a limited staff scattered around the country so this should be taken into account.

The process started off well with the Pop Yacht rep coming out and photographing the boat and listing it.Soon after I had an individual respond to my Facebook listing and he ended up purchasing the boat. I did not get a notice of who Pop Yachts was working with until after the individual had purchased. I let Pop Yachts know and they said fine. Throughout the process, I understood that I could sell the boat to anyone who came to me through other means. The purchaser never mentioned that he had visited Pop Yachts site and I never asked. It seems crooked to me that Pop Yachts has waited 4 months to contact me, assuming I will have forgotten the details and just pay them! To me, this is a problem for Pop Yachts not me. I will let you know if they continue to harass me for a commission they did not earn! Now 4 months later I get the following email[NOTICE OF COMMISSION DUE Dear Mr. ______,, My name is ____ ____ and I am the_______/______ -______ at POP YACHTS and POP RV’S.It has come to my attention that you recently sold your 2007 Gekko Revo 6.7 to ____ ____ on May 8, 2020. The buyer inquired, requested a showing and was working with our sales rep. You were emailed seller’s reports that had our buyer’s name listed on them. You were emailed the buyer’s name stating that POP was working with him. Mr. ____ is a registered buyer with POP YACHTS and POP RV’s since May 1, 2020 and viewed your vessel several times on our website. He also sent an inquiry, requested a showing and was working with our sales rep for your vessel, from POP Yachts and POP RV’s. Before his purchase with you, Mr. ____ shall be considered procured by POP if buyer (or buyer’s representative) becomes aware that a vessel is for sale due to the marketing efforts of POP.I have retrieved the new title and it clearly shows the sale to Mr. ____ on May 8, 2020. Pursuant to the Central Marketing Agreement you signed on April 6, 2020, with us, POP Yachts and POP RV’s is entitled to a commission on this sale in the amount of $2750.00. I do have all the research and legal documents in my possession to warrant this letter of collection.Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss payment.. Please submit payment by October 2, 2020 to avoid legal action. This issue will not go away.* I now see Pop's Yachts reply below. The fact remains that when I made the deal with the purchaser I had not been made aware that he had seen the boat on Pops website. Pops needs to improve their process so that viewers of boats on their website are immediately revealed to the sellers of that boat! If I had known this individual came from Pops website I would have negotiated accordingly and been pleased with the transaction, but since the deal was made prior to my being notified I have no obligation to pay the commission.
I have been in the boating industry for 38 years, Also I have never left a review for ANY business before, I did however feel compelled to acknowledge two people who were absolutely fantastic to deal with at POP YACHTS, Howard (sales) and Tracy (closing/transfer/title) Both of these individuals made my purchase easy with a knowledgeable, professional attitude w/o any pressure. Constantly in contact by phone and email making the purchase simple and easy, without unanswered questions. Just wanted to say, THANK YOU...
