Bethany at Porter Dodson dealt with our sale and purchase. What should have been a simple process turned out to be very complicated and protracted. Neither Porter Dodson nor ourselves contributed to the complications! Bethany acted in a very professional and proactive way. She also managed to sort out several things that were not of our (or her) making. I would recommend Porter Dodson to anyone who wants a professional service.

We worked with Jacob and Ellie at Porter Dodson in Sherborne to support us with executing a will and to guide us through probate - with the added complication that all 3 executors of the estate lived in different countries. Enormous thanks to the to the Porter Dobson Solicitors and Advisors (PDS) team based in Taunton, with particular reference to Danielle Luke (Senior Paralegal) and Chris Green (Partner).Ours was a complex global probate case, and our family reached out to PDS 3 some years ago now, to seek guidance on this matter. We as a family (my sisters and I) were not looking to gain personally, but we were looking to protect our mother’s inheritance, who was not in a position to challenge the miscarriage herself.We first spoke to Chris, who offered expert free advice, and following this we elected to engage formally with PDS on a no win no fee basis. We were really reticence at first, however we came to the conclusion that we really had nothing to lose, as PDS were taking all the risk, and would their win percentage, should this materialise, which was modest under the circumstances. The most important aspect being that PDS came over as trustworthy, which was paramount to us.After introductions were made, it was Danielle who became the single point of contact (SPoC), and carried on the good work initiated by Chris.We had no idea how long the process would take, but we put our faith in PDS to do the right thing. This they did, and I like Danielle, became the SPoC for our family. Incredulous to think about it now, but this process would last over 3 years and entail literally hundreds of emails. Fortunately for us, Danielle did her best to manage our frustrations and expectations, so at least we could understand why the process was taking so long. Danielle always found time to keep us informed of any developments and was so timely with her responses to my emails.It all came good in the end, and our mother got her entitled inheritance, thanks to the work undertaken by Danielle and Chris at PDS.It is for this reason I wanted to put this review out there, so for others who could be in a similar position to ourselves, I have no hesitation in recommending PDS as a company in which to put your trust.Regards.......Kevin Mellor
Michelle Wilson handled my complicated flat sale with the addition of a lease extension. There was many stages to the sale spanning over 7 months and she explained the process and what needed to happen. I was very anxious as the sale did take some time but Michelle was calm and provided clear and reassuring advice and guidance.
