I was grateful that they responded, and appreciate the link they shared, but the information does not solve my problem. No one can say for sure if I will be allowed to take an unfolded bike across the border from Girona to Perpignan. It appears to rely on the whim of the conductor, most of the time, unless it is a high speed line, in which case the answer is no.
I explored several rail booking platforms to bypass the booking fee, but ultimately chose this one for its ease of use and reliability. The tickets were quickly delivered via email as PDFs for printing, just as I requested. I haven't used them yet, but assuming everything works as expected, it was a positive experience.
Navigating the trains was fairly straightforward, but having to use two different platforms was inconvenient. My journey included Frankfurt to Berlin, then Dresden, and finally Prague. Unfortunately, the segment from Dresden to Prague meant that the German Railways wouldn't accept the ticket. I had to re-enter everything on another platform and book through them to process payment with the German Railways. There might be a reason for this setup, but it feels like it's not worth the hassle to figure it out. Additionally, the restriction of booking only three months in advance was frustrating, as prices had already doubled by the time I could make my reservations.
As a travel agent, I booked a ticket for a guest through this platform and opted for Refund Protection, which claims that cancellations are allowed up to 3 hours before travel. When the guest's trip was canceled, I attempted to process the ticket cancellation via the 'Manage Booking' option, but it indicated that the ticket was non-refundable. This raises the question of why I paid extra for Refund Protection. Since yesterday morning, I have submitted several support requests, yet all I receive is an automated reply stating that the support team will get back to me within 24 hours. It has now been 36 hours with no response. There is no customer care contact number or email available, neither on Google nor on their website. This level of service is highly unprofessional and frustrating. Overall, I am very disappointed and cannot recommend this service.
