The biggest problem was I discovered a few months later I was being charged for some monthly subscription I was totally unaware. Very shady practices! I contacted them and they cancelled my subscription but refused to refund these 2 months of charges I was totally unaware of as being part of book purchase!! Not a good company!!

Don’t buy anything from this company. They use predatory tactics and then don’t want to refund the money. I bought the book, it comes with an app “trial”, that I forgot and immediately when charged, I sent message. They said the documentation they provide says there is no refund, that is nowhere in my receipt. To make it even worst, I had a second charge of 99 dollars for 1 on 1 coaching. I’m 100% sure that I didn’t accept any of the add-ons in my purchase, because the book on itself is already expensive. When I went to check the email with my order, as expected, there was no coaching subscription there. Then I see that same day, almost at the same time, they sent a second email with a totally different order number, with a 1 on 1 coaching subscription. The best evidence that I didn’t even know about this second order is that I haven’t access the “coaching” in a month after my purchase, so they could see clearly that what I’m saying is true, but is a dishonest company. If this was a selected add-on, why wouldn’t it be in the same order? I sent them another email asking for clarification and showing them what I found and the items that were actually listed in my order, then they stopped responding my emails. They literally stole 130 dollars from my account, after I paid around 90 for the initial purchase.

Edit: The merchant response is totally contrary to the attitude they show over email. I’ve had been emailing with them the entire day before recurring to public forums. They claim their terms were explicit in the email, they were not, I had one order confirmation email that had no price of subscription, no refund policy or terms and conditions. I had a second email that went to my promotions folder, because is not even identified as an order confirmation, for the second order of coaching, and also doesn’t have any terms or refund policy. After leaving this response, they sent me an email with their terms and conditions, now, after they stole my money. They leave these candid responses here claiming they are working on improving their clarity, but on email they double down and lie saying they were transparent and they won’t refund the money. They literally stole from me $130.98 today, and still have the audacity to use my message to appear honest. Don’t but for this company, if at the end you will end up paying this much, pay it to your local dog trainer.

I ordered the book, which arrived. The company had a line stating 'your ebook is available to download." I downloaded it, but have not used it and now find out it is an app with a recurring fee that I NEVER approved or were told about. I have requested cancellation. When I go to the 'merchant' labeled as effecto, it takes me to an ADHD website! Awaiting notification of cancellation of autopay on the app that I never requested.

Later sane day: I am pleased to report that I received a reply from Raising Dog that I would not be charged again for the unrequested app. However, the charge for this month remains. Doesn't seem fair, but I appreciate their quick response and that they cancelled the ongoing auto charges for somehting I did not order.

Extremely Disappointed with This Purchase

I would rate it lower if possible. This book is outrageously priced and offers no more insight than what you can find through a simple online search. Additionally, they promote a free trial on the app but charged my card for a subscription without any notification and denied my refund request, even though I never used the app. **This note is added after receiving a response from the support team** For anyone thinking about making a purchase, I want to clarify that I wrote this review after attempting to reach out to the support team for assistance, only to be told multiple times that the subscription details were hidden deep within the app’s terms and conditions. BE WARY OF THIS COMPANY - they accessed my bank information from the book purchase without my consent to initiate a subscription.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Very expensive and they add you to their app subscription which, again is very basic and not much use. I asked them to cancel the subscription which they said they had in an email sent in May of this year but I've had £176.99 taken via Paypal for an annual subscription they say I opted into. They now refuse to refund me. They do provide a personalised book ie your name on the front but the content is far from breed specific giving very basic information that you can find anywhere! No doubt they'll respond to this quoting their terms and conditions and that they, allegedly sent me a renewal email so aren't liable to refund me but this is absolute con and I'm going to fight this all the way!!

I’m happy with the overall concept of the book and process. However, our dog’s name is Eliza not Aliza and do hope that her name is printed correctly on the book. Thank you for your help. We look forward to continue working with our puppy Eliza and with the help of your book.
