Review Time
My daughter and her friend booked a cruise and Rome stay with Ramsay for August 2025 (three nights in Rome, seven night cruise then two nights in Rome). The original hotel they offered had some poor reviews, so my daughter chose a different hotel which was booked through Ramsay. Two days before they flew out, Ramsay contacted them to advise that the hotel had cancelled the booking, so alternatives were offered. They chose a hotel called Hotel Valadier, a four star hotel, which was acceptable and they enjoyed their stay. They went on their cruise and on the day they disembarked, I recieved a call advising that their hotel was not available. Ramsay offered some hotels which were either too far out or had dreadful reviews. They were also very cheap, cheaper than what my daughter originally paid. I asked that Ramsay book the Hotel Valadier again as nine rooms were available. They refused to do so, probably because it was too expensive, but would not give an explanation. I told Ramsay that I would find a hotel for my daughter, which I did, as Ramsay were lacking the competence to do so. This was at a cost of £226. A complaint was made and Ramsay refunded £64, which was the cost of the unsuitable hotels that they offered. £32 per night for two people. That is what Ramsay thought their customers were worth. Ramsay have closed all communication, but this will be taken further. Absolutely appalling service.
Great service, in terms of feeling valued as a customer, being offered options of hotels in preferred destination, and the communication from initial enquiry to booking holiday was excellent. On a final note, the cost for the holiday and flight package was amazing value. I would definitely recommend this travel agent!
