So far every person I have dealt with via email or speaking to on the phone has been so so helpful and that’s why I went with this company. It started from a compare site but the people I dealt with were great knowing everything about the Regency product and making sure I got and was happy with what I had chosen.
Please do not rely on Regency for Expats. They take an excruciating amount of time to evaluate claims, and they do not pay the money that they promise on their own brochures. My father died of a very aggressive cancer, and he had a life insurance policy with Regency Assurance. Their brochure promises that 10% of the insured sum will be paid within 24-48 hours of receiving official notice of the death, and we are still waiting for this days later. We are also still waiting to be paid for claims that are over a month old. Throughout all my dealings with them, I have sent the same documents multiple times and have been running in circles. I am not even sure that the emails I am receiving are from real people and not AI, as they seem to completely ignore the concerns I am raising again and again. I am having to escalate this to their regulator, the FSRC in St Nevis, because they refuse to comply with their contractual obligations. Please do NOT rely on Regency Assurance. They will stall to reimburse claims that are covered by your plan, and they will ignore their own contractual promises. Regency Assurance will make the worst time of your lives even more excruciating through their lack of professionalism and lack of care.
The best part was the smooth and quick process of being accepted to Regency. All documents, such as visa applications, arrived immediately via email.There was also a questionnaire in case of treatment, which I found particularly positive because no one wants to fill it out in an emergency situation.Questions are answered immediately within a few hours. That impresses me a lot.
