In my experience, this company is committing fraud and they have not lived up to their contract. I have waited through six week of delays and escalations for a dishwasher claim. They never sent a technician. Representatives blatantly lie. Please record your conversations with them - advise first of course - because you will need them when they go back on their word. They delay responses, stall approvals, and ultimately deny legitimate claims. Attempts to resolve issues or request a refund were met with poor customer service. Do your research - and not on their website. Very disappointing — I would never recommend Regency Home Warranty.
Regency Total Warranty seems to be a corrupt business scam! I have been due a refund since 2-14-25, which was to have been provided within 2-8 weeks. My last contact with "Maria" stated that "Joseph" had mailed my check on 7-31-25, due to arrive the following week. It has been MORE THAN 6 MONTHS SINCE MY ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED!!This company should be avoided, as they will manuever not to cover claims. They put you on hold; then the connections are broken. Folks literally LIE and fail to communicate via paper responses
This is the worst warranty company we’ve ever dealt with when it comes to filing a claim. I would advise you stay away from this company. They don’t cover anything and they have the nerve to fake reviews on their website. We filed a claim for our washing machine, they sent out a technician and he said it was the computer, which is a covered part under our plan. They took 3 days to get back to us and refused to fix or replace the washer and only offered us $200 for the repair! This is a scam company! I’ve contacted an attorney and I’m going to file a CFPB complaint as well! Because this is the second claim denial in six months, the other was for the A/C unit.
Warning: Misrepresentation and Potential Fraudulent PracticesI want to caution anyone considering Regency Home Warranty. In my case, I was explicitly told that my AC system was fully covered. Only after payment did they send me a policy containing hidden clauses around refrigerant (freon), which they now use as the basis to deny coverage. This is a classic case of bait-and-switch: verbal assurances, texts, and digital materials promised one thing, but the written policy provided post-payment says another. This is not only deceptive, it falls under misrepresentation and unfair business practices as recognized by consumer protection law.I am filing in small claims court this week and have compiled all evidence of their contradictory statements and misleading conduct. If anyone else has been misled, I encourage you to pursue legal remedies as well. Companies cannot continue to profit by deliberately misleading customers — this kind of conduct amounts to daylight robbery
