Review Time
An issue with 2 properties I applied at in Portland Oregon, but management kept my application fees/deposits without fulfilling their duties of renting me the unit after I paid the fees and was approved. I believe these two properties are just 'harvesting' $50 dollar application fees from as many applicants as possible, with no intention of renting the applicants the units. Milepost 5 took my application fee over the phone and never showed up for our appointment to show me the studio. I had driven 3 hours from out of town to view the apartment upon assurance from property manager that she would be there to show the unit. She had literally just spoken to me on the phone the night before we were supposed to meet. Then she didnt return my calls or show up on the morning of.St francis park took my $50 application fee then kept me waiting half a year while they continued giving me excuses about the unit being under audit. After 6 months of waiting, I requested my application fee back and was denied the return of this by the manager at St Franci park apartments. I strongly urge you to remove these apt listings from rent cafe so more people are not victimized. Great concept!!! BUT.....very little actual info as relates to costs and photos of property or apt. dimensions. Have requested info and told property woujld contact....NOPE!!!! Last one you gave me info for a phone number, was a fax number as the office at that property is closed (wind Rose). Calcutta and Rose land never even returned calls from my voicemail. Tried to do an application today and took me back to the property! Like i said, great concept, but sure not working! too bad!!!
