If I could give a zero I would. I received a letter in October 2024 that this company had purchased my Oportun account and would be sending me a card in 7 to 10 days. No card arrived. I called in November and again in December to say I had not received a card. Now it is January and no card has ever arrived. I don’t think they ever sent one. I will pay this off now and be shut of the awful company. Don’t use this company.
Received a letter in mail this card was replacing the opportun visa I had. Same credit limit, no annual fee. I activated the card. 5jis was several months ago. Paid balance in full in December. Checked account online and it showed a $99 balance! Called customer service #, several times and finally got through. I explained I am NOT willing to pay an annual fee for the card and especially when it is $99and I had NO annual fee on the previous card! Requested to cancel/closed the card. Spoke to a 'Joshua', who put me on hold. When he came back on the line, he said the card account was closed. 2 business days later, the $99was deducted from my checking account! I immediately called and now they are saying they will refund but have to mail a check within 7 to 10 business days! I normally do not put reviews out, but wanted to warn anyone thinking about this card/company! I would give 0 stars if I had that option!
Paid them was told I could get into my account but I can’t seam to pay online or bring up my account no matter what I do,! Can anyone suggest an answer????? Please!!!!!!!!!! HELP HELP. DONT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM CALLING BBB TOMORROW
I had Oprotun as my card provider until this month, and was transferred to this company. I have read about the high yearly fees, the extra maintenance fees. I am very disappointed that I was given no choice but to come to this company. I paid the payment I had due, and still have no available credit... I cannot wait to pay this card off and close it out!
I am another unhappy customer that was with Opportun. I did not want the Revel card, but could find no way to keep paying my bill unless I activated this. I dealt with the Bank of Missouri before with a Fortiva card. They changed the terms and I didn't like them. I called 3 times to close the account and was told they would. They did not. Finally, I emailed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau who sent me to the FTC, as they deal with banks. Finally I was told the account was closed and here's a 25$ credit for my trouble. (I did have a balance to pay.) Now after being forced into this awful situation with Revel, I will be closing this account as well.Since I am registered now with Continental Finance, I can keep paying the bill. We all got screwed Revel wants to charge me a $45 minimum on a roughly $300 balance AND a 43% APR!. Let's see how many times it will take to get Revel cancelled!
I was with Oportune, and I just got the revel card, at no point did Revel disclose any annual fees. My account was always on auto-pay. Revel did not take my payment and they charged me a late fee, not only that they also charged an annual fee. What the hell!! I will report the Bank of Missouri and Revel to the BBB for their deceptive business practices. Make no doubt there will be a class-action lawsuit. You all are a bunch of thieves, and your business will never flourish.
